Abstract

Students with introverted tendencies prefer to be alone and prefer quiet places without crowds. This tendency has an impact on the lack of personal communication by students. Information from the BK Teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Belida Darat there are 3-5 people in each class who are few in communicating, this group can be said to be introverted. It is suspected that to build personal communication of students who tend to be introverted, BK teachers can conduct group guidance on discussion techniques. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance with discussion techniques in building personal communication of students who tend to be introverted. The method used in this research process is Quantitative Pre-Experiment (Pre-Experiment Design). The population in this study were students of XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Belida Darat. Researchers took a sample of 8 students according to the characteristics of children who tend to be introverted. The data collection in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that group guidance with discussion techniques was effective in improving students' personal communication. The results of the Wilcoxon test using SPSS.20 showed Z count (2.384) > Z table (1.959) and sig value (0.017) < 0.05. 1. Personal communication of introverted students before group guidance is known to 1 student (12.5%) has high communication skills, while the remaining 7 people (87.5%) are in the medium category, but after being given group guidance with discussion techniques, introverted students' personal communication increased to the high category.

Abstract

Verbal bullying behavior in junior high school students is a serious problem because it has a negative impact on the mental health and social development of the victim. Behavior such as teasing, insulting, threatening and degrading verbally is often done by students who have power over weak students. The study aims to test the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral counseling through psychodrama techniques in reducing verbal bullying behavior in junior high school students. The method used is quantitative pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique as many as 5 students of class VIII.4 SMPN 7 Palembang with a high verbal bullying behavior category. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed a significant decrease before and after being given treatment from a pretest score of 519 and an average of 103,8 (high category) to a posttest of 186 with an average of 37,2 (low category). Statistical test shows Z count -2,023 with Asymp. Sig value 0,043<0,05 proves that cognitive behavior counseling through psychodrama techniques is effective in reducing verbal bullying behavior of junior high school students. These results can be an intervention strategy in the school environment to create a comfortable and conducive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the relationship between financial stress and mental health, focusing on adaptation mechanisms and the socio-cultural factors influencing resilience. It also identifies key research trends, emerging themes, and global collaborations. Method – A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 488 articles from the Scopus database (2019–2024). The study employed multiple linear regression and path analysis to assess the effects of financial stress on mental health, with socio-cultural factors as an intervening variable. A sample of 100 individuals was selected using a simple random sampling method. Data analysis was performed using R software and the Biblioshiny application, incorporating keyword analysis, research collaboration mapping, and thematic classification. Result – The findings indicate a significant increase in research on financial stress, mental health, and coping strategies. Cross-country collaborations have strengthened, particularly among the United States, the United Kingdom, and China. Emerging topics such as financial resilience and adaptive strategies are gaining attention. The study highlights the complex relationship between financial stress and mental well-being, influenced by economic conditions and social support systems. Implication – The study suggests integrating financial and psychological interventions to enhance coping mechanisms and improve societal well-being, offering insights for policymakers. Originality/Value – This research is the first to incorporate socio-cultural factors as an intervening variable, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding financial stress and mental health. *** Tujuan – Studi ini mengkaji hubungan antara stres keuangan dan kesehatan mental, dengan fokus pada mekanisme adaptasi dan faktor-faktor sosio-budaya yang memengaruhi ketahanan. Studi ini juga mengidentifikasi tren penelitian utama, tema-tema yang muncul, dan kolaborasi global. Metode – Analisis bibliometrik dilakukan pada 488 artikel dari basis data Scopus (2019–2024). Studi ini menggunakan regresi linier berganda dan analisis jalur untuk menilai dampak stres keuangan terhadap kesehatan mental, dengan faktor sosio-budaya sebagai variabel perantara. Sebuah sampel terdiri dari 100 individu dipilih menggunakan metode sampling acak sederhana. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak R dan aplikasi Biblioshiny, yang mencakup analisis kata kunci, pemetaan kolaborasi penelitian, dan klasifikasi tematik. Hasil – Temuan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penelitian tentang stres keuangan, kesehatan mental, dan strategi koping. Kolaborasi antar negara semakin kuat, terutama antara Amerika Serikat, Inggris, dan China. Topik-topik baru seperti ketahanan keuangan dan strategi adaptif mulai mendapat perhatian. Studi ini menyoroti hubungan kompleks antara stres keuangan dan kesejahteraan mental, yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi ekonomi dan sistem dukungan sosial. Implikasi – Studi ini menyarankan integrasi intervensi keuangan dan psikologis untuk meningkatkan mekanisme penanggulangan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, memberikan wawasan bagi pembuat kebijakan. Orisinalitas/Nilai – Penelitian ini merupakan yang pertama kali memasukkan faktor sosio-budaya sebagai variabel perantara, menyediakan kerangka kerja komprehensif untuk memahami stres keuangan dan kesehatan mental.

Abstract

Academic stress is pressure caused by educational demands or academic demands that cause tension, feelings of discomfort and changes in behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services on the management of students’ academic stress in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Belitang III. The research method used is quantitative, pre-experimental with a one group pretest and posttest design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique of 8 students in class X.4 who have high levels of academic stress. Data were collected using a pretest and posttest questionnaire and observation. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Sidned Rank Test to determine changes before and after treatment. The results show a Z count value of -2,521 with an Asymp.sig value of 0,012<0,005. So, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This shows that group guidance services are effective in managing students’ academic stress in the implementation of the independent curriculum. This study recommends that group guidance services with group discussion techniques can continue to be developed as part of the guidance and counseling program in schools to help overcome academic stress at SMA Negeri 1 Belitang III.
