Abstract

Teacher performance is influenced by leadership, motivation, and other factors that affect the quality of learning, student achievement, and teachers' professional development. This study aims to explain the influence of leadership and motivation on teacher performance and their combined impact at SMP Taruna Harapan Bangsa Cigelam. The research employed a quantitative correlational method, with data collected using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale. Data were processed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and both t-test and F-test analyses. The results showed that the principal's leadership style and work motivation significantly influenced teacher performance. The significance values for each variable were below 0.05, with positive Beta values (0.507 and 0.453), indicating a positive relationship. The overall regression model was significant, and the R Square value of 0.660 indicated that the two variables contributed 66% to teacher performance. Conclusion: An effective leadership style and high work motivation significantly improve teacher performance, although the incentive system indicator did not show a significant effect.

Abstract

This article examines the theological challenges posed by posthumanism to the anthropology of Christian theology, with a focus on the doctrine of imago Dei, the meaning of the body, and the eschatological horizons of the Christian faith. The unit of analysis in this study is a theological discourse on posthumanism—especially transhumanism and critical posthumanism—which is dialogued with systematic theology and reflection of Christian education. The purpose of this research is to reconstruct the understanding of the Imago Dei in the context of the posthuman era and to formulate a theological framework that can critically respond to technological narratives without compromising human dignity or Christian eschatological expectations. This research employs a qualitative method based on literature studies, utilizing a philosophical-theological hermeneutic approach, which enables a critical interpretation of classical and contemporary theological sources, as well as major works in the philosophy of posthumanism and the philosophy of technology. The study's findings reveal that posthumanism exposes the limitations of the substantive-rational imago Dei model and encourages the reconstruction of imago Dei as a relational-eschatological category rooted in communion with God, others, and creation. From this reconstruction was born the eschatological theological concept of the mediated body, which affirms that human existence is always mediated by technology, yet still directed toward its fullness in Christ, not to technological salvation. The primary contribution of this article lies in the formulation of an integrative theological framework for the dialogue between the Christian faith and posthumanism within the context of contemplative theology.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Christian Religious Education (CRE) as a strategic medium in shaping the character of servant leadership among students. In the context of globalization marked by leadership crises, individualism, and power-oriented practices, there is an urgent need for a leadership model grounded in Christian values, namely leadership through service. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing reputable academic sources that discuss the integration of CRE, servant leadership values, the role of teachers, curriculum, and faith communities. The findings reveal that CRE significantly contributes to shaping servant leaders through three main dimensions: (1) curriculum integration with Christian values such as love, humility, and service; (2) the role of teachers as life models who internalize and embody servant leadership in the teaching–learning process; and (3) the contribution of faith communities as praxis spaces where students experience and practice the values of service in real-life contexts. The study further highlights that synergy among schools, teachers, families, and faith communities creates a holistic educational ecosystem that nurtures a new generation of leaders with integrity and a service orientation. Thus, CRE functions not merely as an instrument of cognitive instruction but as a transformative means for spiritual growth and the development of leadership character aligned with the example of Jesus Christ. These findings are expected to enrich academic discourse while providing practical direction for curriculum development, pedagogical strategies, and the engagement of faith communities in forming future leaders who serve.
