Abstract

International trade means buying and selling of goods and services. Foreign investments boost up economy and it brings lots of opportunities to develop such economy and thus such opportunity develops an economy. The development of such policies brings more investments and trade related opportunities within and outside the boundaries of the countries. This is only possible if the economy is stable because an investor always wants his investments to be safe and secure. Terrorism is a threat that is harming international trade. Due to terrorism trade in Pakistan had suffered a lot and the business opportunities are decreasing our industrialist are shifting towards other countries. Previous researches have concluded that terrorism is a threat that is affecting adversely the global markets and economy as well. The purpose of this research is to find out the impact terrorism is causing to the economy of Pakistan. The paper has also provided recommendations to cope with such threat. The results are extracted by using Microsoft Excel. Regression analysis has been used to identify the relationship between international trade and cost incurred on Terrorism. The results extracted had identified that cost incurred on terrorism have significant impact on international trade. To cope with the problem of terrorism and enhance international trade recommendations will be stated at the end.

Abstract

This study investigates the root causes of crime rate in Pakistan, the activities due to which crime is increasing in the country. Variables for this research are crime rate, population growth rate, inflation, household consumption, urbanization, saving (%of GDP) and unemployment. For this purpose, data has been collected for 34 years from the period 1980-2014. The independent variables involved in this research are population growth rate, inflation, household consumption, urbanization, saving (%of GDP) and unemployment whereas the dependent variable is crime rate. For the analysis of data multiple regression has been applied using the SPSS software. The results showed that inflation, population, unemployment, household consumption have positive relation with the crime rate whereas savings is negatively related. The government should take steps to make the environment of country crime free by providing economic incentives to people and by making the law making and implementing departments strong and accountable for what they do.

Abstract

To make the employees perform their task in the most efficient manner has always been tough for the management. To achieve this goal, management is required to have proper understanding of various factors that encourage motivation in employees. Since the last decade, there is rapid increase in a trend of call center industry in Pakistan. Nowadays, numerous foreigner businesses have outsourced their customer services and tele sales in developing countries like Pakistan. This study is intended to highlight all those factors that play an important role for encouraging motivation level of employees in Call Center Industry of Lahore. This research discusses the effect of Autonomy, Justice, Rewards and Recognition and Training on Employees motivation in the selected industry. To conduct the study, primary data is collected, and statistical tests are applied to measure the relationship between our supposed dependent and independent variables.
