Abstract

Tofu is one of the popular soybean processed products in Indonesia because of its high nutritional content and affordable price. This study aims to describe the process of making tofu in one of the home tofu factories in Lubuk Sahung Village, Sukaraja District, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province. The methods used are direct observation, interviews, and documentation of the tofu production process. The results of the study indicate that the tofu making process is carried out through several main stages, namely: soaking, grinding, boiling, filtering, sedimentation, molding, and cutting. The process is carried out semi-manually using simple equipment but still paying attention to food sanitation standards. This activity has a significant economic impact on the surrounding community.

Abstract

The “Socialization of Used Cooking Oil Processing into Aromatherapy Candles” activity by KKN-T students of Dehasen University Bengkulu was held at RT. 61, RW 07, Betungan Village, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province on Monday, June 30, 2025. This socialization activity aims to reduce environmental pollution and prevent diseases caused by repeated use of used cooking oil. This activity was carried out with a direct practice method with residents of RT. 61, starting with the preparation of materials, making aromatherapy candles and opening a question and answer session for participants. After conducting this socialization, it is hoped that used cooking oil waste can reduce household waste and environmental pollution around residents.
