Abstract

The sale of fresh fruit bunches in Putri Hijau sub-district has variety of marketing channels from farmers to consumers. The diversity of marketing channels should result in differences in the price levels received by farmers and the costs incurred by each marketing agency, such as freight costs, transportation costs to factories, fruit shrinkage costs, and other costs. This study aims to identify marketing channels and compare the marketing channel efficiency of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) of palm oil formed in Kecamatan Putri Hijau, North Bengkulu. Determination of farmer respondents is done by purposive sampling counted 41 people, and marketing agency respondents use snowball sampling method. The results showed that there are three channels of marketing of oil palm FFS formed, namely Channel I (farmers - collector traders - factories), Channel II (farmers - farmer groups - factories), Channel III (farmers - factories). The most widely used channels by farmers are channel I (farmers - collectors – mills) that have the highest margin and low farmer’s share. The merchandise margin and the profit-to-cost ratio indicate that only marketing channel I in Bani Village is efficient. Marketing channel I in Desa Bani Village has a marketing margin value of Rp206/kg with the value of profit to marketing cost ratio of 1.17.

Abstract

Input Output (I-O) analysis is an analysis commonly used to analyze and find out the leading sectors in region. However, I-O analysis alone cannot say where the sector / industry base is located spatially and its distribution. Location Quotient (LQ) analysis is conducted to answer this question. The result of the combination of the two shows that the agricultural sector is still the leading sector for the economy of Bengkulu Province. While the agricultural base is found in five districts, including; Lebong Regency, Kepahiang Regency, Kaur Regency, Seluma Regency, and Muko-muko Regency. Overall, the agricultural sector in Bengkulu Province is still a key economic sector, so the development of the agricultural sector as a whole has the potential to have a big effect on the economy of Bengkulu Province itself.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Biococotin is a fertilizer made from human feces and dried cocopit. The use of dried human feces and cocopit can be carried out on sandy land. This is because human feces are one of the feces that have good soil nutrient ability. Can be used as fertilizer on sandy land. Good plant nutrition will correlate with crop yields and farmer's income. Biococotin with manure has been used by farmers. Research carried out on sand farm farmers in Bengkulu Province discussed Lempuing Village, Bengkulu. The study was conducted for one month, June-July 2018. The process of collecting data was obtained from experimental results and interviews. Financial amount of funds needed to build and then carry out business activities. The results obtained from the costs incurred by biococtin are greater than those with manure. The entire competition meets eligibility, but nothing is feasible. This is due to high operational costs. The biggest outpouring of costs is the purchase of dry cocopit. This is because there is no dry cocopit in Bengkulu. The purchase of cocopit is carried out beyond the Bengkulu area at high prices. Keywords:  Biococotin, Finansial; Bengkulu.

Abstract

The great potential in coastal sandy lands is followed by various problems and limiting factors that cause the acceleration of land use for agricultural purpose run very slowly. To overcome these limiting factors, appropriate modification and implementation of innovation is needed, namely the providing of soil conditioning materials, such as organic matter. One source of organic material that is still very rarely used, affordable, easy and cheap and simple in its application is the waste of coconut powder and human waste which we call biococotin. Providing of biococotin in coastal sandy lands decreases basic pH near neutral, increasing levels of N, P, K, C-Organic and cation exchange capacity has decreased from 7.20 to 6.40%. N levels increased from 0.021% to 0.17%, P-available increased from 2.52 ppm to 20.13 ppm, K levels increased from 2.52 cmol (+) to 9.35 cmol (+) and CEC increased from 4, 04 cmol (+) / kg becomes 7.07 cmol (+) / kg. The best growth parameters (plant height, number of leaves, longest leaf length and longest leaf width) are shown by treatment 2 which is half the dose of NPK and biococotin. The best average planting weight and yield per ha is shown by treatment 2, which is half the dose of NPK and biococotin, which is 44.03 grams / plant and 26.41 tons / ha bicocotin. Keywords : Biococotin, Coastal area, Cocopeat
