Abstract

In the digital era, media plays a significant role in shaping public views on religion. Since the advent of the internet, religious information has become more easily accessible, but this has also led to various reactions from the public, both positive and negative. This study aims to understand the public's response to the representation of religion in various media and its influence on their religious understanding. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results and discussion show that media has a great influence in spreading religious teachings, shaping perceptions, and influencing religious practices. There are diverse public attitudes, categorized as conservative, moderate, and liberal, each with a different response to religious content in the media. Social media, in particular, poses new challenges such as the "celebrity preacher" phenomenon and the spread of misinformation. In conclusion, media has a dual role: as an effective tool for disseminating religious teachings and as a medium with the potential to spread polarization and superficial understanding. To ensure a positive impact, it is necessary to present quality content, adhere to media ethics, and enhance media literacy among the public.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought fundamental changes in the practice of Islamic da'wah, especially through the shift in the medium of khutbah from physical space to digital platforms. Digital sermons are now not only a means of delivering religious messages, but also an instrument of establishing the authority, identity and solidarity of Muslims on a global scale. This research aims to: (1) trace the evolution of khutbah from the classical period to the digital era, (2) analyze the role of digital khutbah in expanding the reach of global Islamic da'wah, and (3) assess the relevance of digital khutbah in maintaining religious authority in the midst of the information age. This research uses a qualitative approach with historical-critical methods and thematic analysis, based on a study of 50 digital sermons from international da'wah figures disseminated through platforms such as YouTube and podcasts. The results show that digital khutbahs retain their classic moral and educative functions, but evolve in the context of visualization, interactivity and global audience response. Dominant themes include tawhid, ummah solidarity and digital ethics. In addition, this study found that digital khutbahs contribute to the democratization of religious authority, where credibility is determined more by digital connectivity and participation than traditional authority structures. Thus, digital khutbah is an adaptive and relevant medium of da'wah in responding to the challenges of Muslims in the era of information globalization.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way religious teachings are disseminated, with social media becoming the main channel for preaching to the younger generation. This phenomenon illustrates the transformation of religious authority from physical to virtual spaces, shaping the way Indonesian youth understand and internalize religious values. This study aims to analyze how digital da'wah communication strategies shape religious perceptions among Indonesian youth. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study examined 150 da'wah contents from five popular preachers on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The data were analyzed using NVivo 14 software, which helped identify da'wah themes, communication styles, and audience responses. The results show that the personal storytelling approach and creative visualization are the main strategies in shaping religious perceptions that are more personal and contextual. Most of the content focuses on the themes of morals and worship, although intolerance-themed content still has high emotional appeal. This research confirms the importance of faith-based digital literacy to strengthen youth resilience against extreme religious content. The implications of this research underscore the need for collaboration between religious institutions, academics, and digital platforms in building a moderate and inclusive da'wah ecosystem in the social media era.

Abstract

Akses layanan kesehatan yang merata masih menjadi tantangan global, terutama di daerah terpencil dengan keterbatasan infrastruktur dan tenaga medis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi pelayanan kesehatan mobile berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) di daerah terpencil Indonesia melalui pendekatan interdisipliner yang mencakup aspek teknologi, sosial, kebijakan publik, dan bisnis digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif dengan melibatkan 20 responden yang terdiri atas tenaga medis, aparat desa/dinas kesehatan, serta masyarakat pengguna. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, kuesioner, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjaga validitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan kesehatan mobile berbasis IoT dinilai sangat efektif dan bermanfaat oleh tenaga medis serta masyarakat, khususnya dalam pemantauan penyakit kronis dan konsultasi jarak jauh. Namun, keterbatasan infrastruktur jaringan, literasi digital masyarakat, dan ketersediaan perangkat masih menjadi hambatan utama. Dibandingkan penelitian terdahulu, studi ini menawarkan kebaruan pada pendekatan interdisipliner dalam konteks daerah terpencil. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini meliputi perlunya dukungan regulasi, investasi infrastruktur digital, edukasi masyarakat, dan model bisnis inklusif agar layanan dapat berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, IoT berpotensi menjadi solusi inovatif dalam mengurangi disparitas layanan kesehatan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Legal news has a crucial role in providing information and understanding to the public about ongoing legal cases. However, often the news can be affected by certain biases or viewpoints, which can affect the objectivity of the news narrative. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of journalistic language in building balanced legal news narratives, by considering aspects of objectivity and equality of information. The research method in this study is qualitative. The data collection technique was carried out by literature study obtained from Google Schoolar and legal news articles published in the 2020-2023 period in various trusted mass media. The data that has been collected will be analyzed qualitatively using content analysis techniques. The results showed that a balanced legal news narrative must meet specific criteria, including prioritizing fairness, accuracy, and neutrality in the delivery of information. Democratic journalistic language avoids differences in level or rank in the use of language and prioritizes active sentences to be more easily understood by readers. In addition, journalistic language must also adhere to standard language rules and ethics to reflect honesty, sincerity and respect for individual privacy. By adhering to these criteria, legal news narratives can be considered balanced, able to provide a comprehensive picture, and respect the interests of society as a whole.
