Abstract

Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations denotes the extent to which workers adhere to the utilisation of PPE that aligns with the prescribed standards and the potential hazards present in the work environment. The compliance with the use of PPE is influenced by the individual worker, taking into account their knowledge, participation in safety talks, tenure, length of service and attitude. Based on preliminary assessment of ten workers found that four of them did not comply with the usage of PPE owing to pain, heat, inconvenience, and delays in job performance when wearing full PPE. The objective of study was to determine the factors that influence compliance with the use of PPE at PT. Berkat Karunia Phala Duri Riau. This research design employed a cross-sectional analytical survey. The entire workforce comprising 36 individuals, was selected as the research sample. The data were analysed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate techniques. The results of the multivariate analysis with the Logistic Regression test showed that there was an influence between knowledge (p = 0.017) and length of service (p = 0.040) on compliance with the use of PPE. There was no influence between the implementation of safety talk (p = 1.000) on compliance with the use of PPE. The most influential factor was knowledge with Exp (B) 22.884.

Abstract

A work accident is an unexpected event that occurs in the workplace and results in physical injury, material loss or even death. According to Law No. 1 of 1970 concerning work safety, every work accident needs to be recorded and analyzed to prevent similar incidents in the future. front. There are many factors that cause work accidents in the workplace as well as the causes of work accidents in Palm Oil Manufacturing Company, including the following: Human Factors: Human error, lack of training, and non-compliance with safety procedures, use of inappropriate heavy equipment and machines Procedures are also a factor that can increase the risk of accidents. Environmental Factors: Unsafe workplace conditions, such as damaged equipment, lack of lighting and a dangerous environment can trigger potential work accidents in the workplace. The aim of this Community Services is to minimize the occurrence of work accidents. Service method with Implementating Risk Management. The results of the Community Services obtained were a change in knowledge from previously not knowing about Risk Management Concept to knowing and efforts to prevent work accidents. This Community Services activity is something that is really needed by Company workers as a forum for education or transfer of knowledge and information. beneficial for workers

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja merupakan suatu peristiwa yang tidak terduga yang terjadi ditempat kerja dan mengakibatkan cidera fisik, kerugian material atau bahkan kematian.Menurut Undang-Undang No 1 Tahun 1970 tentang keselamatan kerja, setiap kecelakaan kerja perlu dicatat dan dianalisis untuk mencegah kejadian serupa dimasa depan. Ada banyak faktor penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan kerja di tempat kerja demikian halnya pula penyebab kejadian kecelakaan kerja di Perusahaan Pabrikasi Kelapa Sawit, diantaranya adalah sebagai berikut: Faktor Manusia : Kesalahan manusia, kurangnya pelatihan, dan ketidak patuhan terhadap prosedur  keselamatan, penggunaan alat berat dan mesin yang tidak sesuai prosedurjuga menjadi faktor penyebab dapat meningkatnya risiko kecelakaan. Faktor Lingkungan : Kondisi tempat kerja yang tidak aman, seperti alat yang rusak, kurangnya penerangan dan lingkungan yang berbahaya bisa memicu terjadinya potensi kecelakaan kerja ditempat kerja. Tujuan PkM ini adalah untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kecelakaan kerja melalui manajemen Risiko K3. Metode Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan sosialisasi dan Penyuluhan. Hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat yang diperoleh adanya perubahan pengetahuan dari yang semula belum mengetahui tentang konsep manajemen Risiko  menjadi tahu  dan upaya pencegahan kecelakaan kerja, Kesimpulan Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat  ini merupakan hal yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh para pekerja di perusahaan pabrikasi kelapa sawit sebagai wadah edukasi ataupun transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi yang bermanfaat bagi pekerja
