Abstract

Good implementation of SMK3 is closely related to the rate of work accident, but work accidents still occur in some companies in Indonesia although they have implemented SMK3. PKS (Oil Palm Plant) Kebun Rambutan also underwent work accident although it implemented SMK3. There were 20 cases of mild work accident in 2014, 14 cases of mild work accident in 2015, 23 cases of work accidents in 2015 (2 of them were serious work accidents). The objective of this research was to find out the implementation of SMK3 and its implication on the incidence of work accident.The research used qualitative method which was aimed to find out clearly and deeply the implementation of SMK3 and its implication on the incidence of work accident. The research informants were the management of P2K3. The data were analyzed in three processes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The result of the research showed that the obstacles of implementing SMK3 which had the implication on work accident were as follows: the management did not carry out SMK3 properly since the implementation of K3 was not in target, lack of supervision, evaluation on each activity was not optimally done, and employees’ unsafe attitude/action such as working without complying with SOP and without using Personal Protective Devices during their working in the field. The conclusion of the research was that in the implementation of SMK3 at the PKS Kebun Rambutan, including the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of its performance were bad. Keywords: Implementation, Evaliation Of SMK3, Work Accident, Tebing Tinggi, 2017.      Penerapan SMK3 yang terlaksana dengan baik akan berkorelasi dengan berkurangnya angka kecelakaan kerja, namun di beberapa perusahaan di Indonesia kecelakaan kerja masih terjadi meskipun perusahaan telah menerapkan SMK3, begitupun dengan PKS Kebun Rambutan selama penerapan SMK3 juga masih terjadi kecelakaan kerja, pada tahun 2014 terdapat 20 kasus kecelakaan kerja tipe ringan, tahun 2015 terdapat 14 kasus kecelakaan kerja tipe ringan, tahun 2016 terdapat 23 kasus kecelakaan kerja, 2 kasus diantaranya merupakan kecelakaan kerja berat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan SMK3 dan implikasinya terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yaitu  penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara jelas dan mendalam tentang penerapan SMK3 dan implikasinya terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja. Informan penelitian ini adalah pihak manajemen yaitu P2K3. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga proses yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yang menjadi kendala dalam penerapan SMK3 sehingga berimplikasi terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja adalah pelaksanaan SMK3 yang belum terlaksana dengan baik oleh pihak manajemen dalam hal pelaksanaan program K3 yang tidak tepat sasaran, kurangnya pengawasan oleh pihak manajemen, evaluasi dari setiap kegiatan yang belum terlaksana dengan optimal serta sikap/tindakan tidak aman tenaga kerja seperti bekerja tidak sesuai dengan SOP, tidak menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri ketika bekerja.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diharapkan kepada pihak manajemen PKS Kebun Rambutan untuk melaksanakan sosialisasi secara terus menerus tentang penerapan SMK3, melakukan pengawasan yang lebih optimal dan melibatkan tenaga kerja secara aktif dalam semua kegiatan yang dilakukan, melakukan evaluasi terhadap setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk melihat efektivitas kegiatan tersebut. Kata Kunci : Pelaksanaan K3, Pemantauan K3, Kecelakaan Kerja,Tebing Tinggi, 2017.

Abstract

The phenomenon of occupational health and safety (Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja, or K3) implementation has not been widely adopted in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, as most MSMEs still do not consider occupational health and safety as a priority. Many view its implementation as an expense, which can potentially lead to significant issues. These include challenges related to worker welfare and business conditions, fire safety, financial burdens resulting from work accidents or occupational diseases, and an uncomfortable work environment that diminishes worker motivation. This situation increases the risk of work accidents, occupational diseases, and decreased productivity. All these issues stem from the lack of awareness about occupational health and safety among MSME actors. One effort to encourage the adoption of occupational health and safety practices in MSMEs is through the Work Improvements in Small Enterprise (WISE) program developed by the International Labour Organization (ILO). This program aims to assist MSMEs in improving working conditions and productivity through participatory training. The training is designed to educate MSME actors, fostering a shift from unawareness to awareness of occupational health and safety practices. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Work Improvements in Small Enterprise program through participatory training, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of MSME actors. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method to provide a comprehensive description of how the Work Improvements in Small Enterprise program is implemented. The study is based on observation data, surveys, and documentation of various tasks and workplaces within a tofu factory, employing a risk identification approach to analyze and identify control measures for these risks. The findings indicate that various tasks in the tofu factory pose specific hazards. Providing training to tofu factory workers through the Work Improvements in Small Enterprise program has proven effective in addressing these risks. The study concludes that participatory training is an effective solution to mitigate potential hazards, preventing work accidents and promoting safer working conditions.

Abstract

The research examines the success rate of preventive approaches performed by communities together with policy developments which boost public health results. We used qualitative research methods to execute interviews with community members as well as health workers and policymakers who let us understand the effects of community health initiatives alongside state policies on public health delivery. Community-directed prevention interventions such as vaccine rollout and sanitation methods and health awareness programs delivered substantial health benefits that specifically reached communities without enough healthcare access. These programs-maintained sustainability only when funding was steady and both communities possessed sufficient capacity and government officials supported their actions. Policy interventions serve as fundamental components for expanding and keeping these initiatives sustainable because government financial aid together with infrastructure supplies prove essential. The research finds that implementation gaps produce difficulties because policies tend to fail in execution because bureaucracy leads to delays and insufficient community engagement and limited resources. Local needs assessment along with community involvement in developing health intervention policies would make these programs more effective and equitable according to participants. The present investigation extends present knowledge regarding health initiative sustainability over time and the need for policies that integrate community perspectives during their development process.

Environmental Factors: Unsafe workplace conditions, such as damaged equipment, lack of lighting and a dangerous environment can trigger potential work accidents in the workplace. The aim of this Community Services is to minimize the occurrence of work accidents. Service method with Implementating Risk Management. The results of the Community Services obtained were a change in knowledge from previously not knowing about Risk Management Concept to knowing and efforts to prevent work accidents. This Community Services activity is something that is really needed by Company workers as a forum for education or transfer of knowledge and information. beneficial for workers

Abstract

Usaha mikro dan kecil (UMK) merupakan sektor penting dalam struktur perekonomian Indonesia. UMK berkontribusi besar dalam menciptakan lapangan kerja, meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Salah satu jenis UMK yang berkembang saat ini adalah toko makanan hewan peliharaan, khususnya toko makanan kucing. Meskipun tidak tergolong sebagai industri berat, kegiatan operasional di toko makanan kucing tetap melibatkan aktivitas kerja fisik dan pengelolaan barang yang berisiko terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi risiko serta menganalisis penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada usaha kecil penjualan makanan kucing di sektor informal. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya kesadaran K3 pada usaha mikro dan kecil yang sering kali menganggap keselamatan kerja tidak relevan bagi kegiatan non-industri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pemilik dan empat karyawan di Toko Makanan Kucing Shanpan, Kota Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip K3 masih sangat terbatas dan belum menjadi bagian dari budaya kerja sehari-hari. Ditemukan lima temuan utama, yaitu: (1) rendahnya pemahaman dan kesadaran pekerja terhadap K3, (2) kondisi lingkungan kerja yang tidak ergonomis dan berisiko, (3) tidak adanya penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), (4) pandangan pemilik usaha yang belum memprioritaskan K3, serta (5) munculnya usulan perbaikan dari karyawan mengenai pelatihan dan penyediaan sarana keselamatan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa rendahnya penerapan K3 di sektor informal disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan, fasilitas, dan perhatian dari pemilik usaha. Diperlukan pelatihan sederhana, penyusunan SOP kerja aman, serta pembinaan berkelanjutan dari instansi terkait untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan produktif.

Abstract

There is a possibility of work accidents at hospitals., especially fires. Ionizing radiation, chemicals, and medicinal gases are flammable elements that pose a significant fire risk. The observation's findings revealed that at Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Hospital, small extinguishers for fires of the dry chemical powder type and fire extinguishers for CO2, emergency stairs, routes for evacuation, and assembly points were available. However, some nurses continued to lack the knowledge necessary to utilize them. This study investigates factors associated with inpatient nurses' preventive efforts at Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Hospital. This cross-sectional study employs a quantitative methodology. There were 90 participants in the study, all nurses, and a purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 35 participants. The chi-square test statistic is used in data analysis. According to the study, attitude has a p = 0.009 < 0.05, and knowledge has a p = 0.017 < 0.05. Based on these findings, Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Hospital's knowledge and attitudes regarding fire prevention. According to the study's findings, Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Hospital's fire prevention is influenced by certain factors. Hospitals should consider teaching all their nurses about fire safety so that they are well-versed in the subject and can prevent fires in medical facilities.

Abstract

Because the hospital has a huge workface with a significant risk of occupational illnesses or work accidents, it is required to take safeguards, such as adopting work safety services and building emergency response management. Hospitals face a range of complex labor concerns, including varying risks of occupational disease and even work-related accidents depending on the kind of employment, thus they are required to adopt initiatives to promote Hospital Occupational Health and Safety (K3RS). Therefore, it is necessary to provide work safety services and develop emergency response management in hospital so that work accidents and occupational diseases can be prevented. This Study aims to determine the relationship between occupational safety services and development emergency response management with workface performance at special eye hospital medan Baru in 2022 with a cross sectional approach.

Abstract

Data International Labour Organization memperlihatkan bahwa setiap tahun diseluruh dunia telah terjadi 270 juta pekerja yang mengalami kecelakaan kerja dan 160 juta pekerja mengalami penyakit akibat kerja. Aspek kecelakaan kerja yang terjadi sebagian besar disebabkan oleh perilaku tidak aman (unsafe action) dan kondisi lingkungan kerja yang tidak aman (unsafe condition). Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan kebijakan dan komunikasi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja dengan Perilaku Tidak Aman pada karyawan bagian produksi pengolahan minyak sawit di PT Langkat Nusantara Kepong Palm Oil Mill stabat langkat 2023. survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian seluruh karyawan bagian produksi pengolahan minyak sawit di PT. Langkat Nusantara Kepong berjumlah 37 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan total populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Analisa data menggunakan univariat, bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square  dan multivariat menggunakan uji  regresi linier berganda. Hasil uji chi-square di dapatkan p-value komunikasi pesan K3 dengan perilaku tidak aman memiliki hubungan, kebijakan dengan perilaku tidak aman juga memiliki hubunga,. Kesimpulannya terdapat hubungan komunikasi dan kebijakan dengan perilaku tidak aman pada karyawan bagian produksi di PT. Kepong Nusantara Langkat. Disarankan untuk dilakukan evaluasi kebijakan yang bersifat rutin dan komunikasi yang efektif untuk selalu mengingatkan pentingnyaa bekerja dalam keadaan sehat dan aman.
