Abstract

Abstract: Hybrid classes is combination of face-to-face learning and online learning, where some students attend physical classes while other take lessons online. This research aims to produce a reflective micro-learning model in hybrid classes that is valid, practical and effective for prospective Physics teachers. modifications to the Plomp model produced reflective Micro Teaching tools based on hybrid classes in the form of RPS, SAP, teaching materials and assessment instruments. Based on the N-Gain value in the Pre-Test and Post-test results, the Offline learning mode is 0.0010 (0.1%) and Online is 0.0392 (3.92%) Judging from the N-Gain value category and Effectiveness Interpretation Category means both learning modes are in the low and ineffective category. Online learning using Phet Colorado media has a greater N-Gain value so it can be concluded that the online learning mode using Phet Colorado is more effective than the offline learning mode using equipment in the Physics Laboratory. Keywords: reflective micro learning, hybrid classes, micro teaching Abstrak: Kelas hibrida mengacu pada kombinasi pembelajaran tatap muka dan pembelajaran daring, di mana sebagian siswa hadir di kelas fisik sementara siswa lainnya mengikuti pelajaran secara daring.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the enhancement of students' science communication skills through the application of guided inquiry learning models in laboratory activities. The method used to describe science communication skills is to use pre-experiment research. The samples used in this study were 60 physics education students in the odd semester 2023/2024 who took basic physics practicum courses. The implementation of the guided inquiry learning model in the four meetings. The results of improving science communication skills were based on three indicators that researchers have limited. The result analysis used non-test instruments like observation sheets. The sub-scientific communication skills are: 1) searching information, 2) scientific writing, and 3) representing information. Based on the observation results, it was found that the application of the guided inquiry learning model can train students' science communication skills in sub-skills of seeking information with a percentage increase of 74%, sub-skills of scientific writing with a rise of 67% and sub-skills of representing information at an increase in percentage of 76%. Each average score on the third and fourth meetings shows that science communication skills are in the very skilled category

Abstract

High climate variability in the West Java and DKI Jakarta regions is influenced by both local and global factors, particularly Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Available Convective Potential Energy (CAPE). This study identifies CAPE as a physical mediator between SST anomalies and extreme rainfall, a relationship not previously quantified in local research. Using 40 years of data (1985–2024), the study analyzed correlations among SST, CAPE, and rainfall by integrating ERA5 reanalysis data with rainfall observations from six BMKG stations. The methods included climatological analysis, anomaly evaluation, and Pearson correlation with a significance level of p-value < 0.05. The results show that rainfall patterns follow a tropical monsoon climate, with peak rainfall in December–February and a dry season in June–August. A strong positive correlation between SST and rainfall emerges in southern West Java near the Indian Ocean, whereas in northern areas, such as coastal Jakarta, a negative correlation is observed, influenced by El Niño and a positive IOD. CAPE also shows a strong positive correlation with rainfall at nearly all stations, particularly at Citeko and Kertajati, indicating the dominance of local convective processes. Additionally, SST and CAPE are positively related in the southern region, confirming the role of ocean warming in enhancing atmospheric instability. These findings provide important scientific support for strengthening early-warning systems for extreme weather in densely populated regions.
