Abstract

Kurikulum Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Unsri memuat mata kuliah dasar kependidikan dan pendalaman materi bidang studi Fisika. Salah satu mata kuliah yang ada di program studi pendidikan fisika adalah adalah Fisika Dasar. Fisika Dasar pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Unsri dalam kurikulum 2017 terdiri dari banyak konsep yang dipecah lagi ke dalam sub konsep. Salah satu konsep yang dipelajari adalah listrik dinamis dengan subkonsep rangkaian listrik arus searah. Tujuan penelitian ini secara rinci adalah memperoleh gambaran tentang pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada konsep Listrik dinamis pada mata kuliah Fisika Dasar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Unsri, memberikan masukan bagi guru fisika yaitu berupa informasi tentang Gambaran miskonsepssi mahasiswa pada konsep listrik dinamis. Dari keseluruhan materi rangkaian listrik arus searah yang diujikan, mahasiswa sudah cukup memahami konsep tentang energi listrik dengan baik. Akan tetapi mahasiswa masih cenderung mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep daya listrik mengenai perbandingan daya listrik dalam suatu rangkaian yang berbeda yaitu sebanyak 53% Mahasiswa Indralaya dan sebanyak 94% Mahasiswa Palembang. Tes rangkaian listrik arus searah dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI) dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi Mahasiswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi, mahasiswa yang memahami konsep, dan mahasiswa yang tidak paham konsep.

Abstract

Tippe top is an example of simple moving system of rigid body with non-holonomic constraint, but the analysis of this system is not simple. A tippe top equation has been derived with Routhian reduction method and Poincaré equation, and physics computation in finding numeric solution of the dynamics of the tippe top has also been utilized by using Maple program. However, the Poincaré equation required that quasi-coordinate of the quasi-velocity is found, while in the case of the dynamics of tippe top, there is not any exact solution of the quasi-coordinate of the quasi-velocity was found. Therefore, the tippe top equation should be reduced to solve the problem. In this research, Routhian reduction was employed so that the Routhian reduction-based Poincaré equation was used to derive the tippe top equation. The method was able to derive a tippe top equation on a flat plane and tube inner surface clearly represented differential equations.

Abstract

, This research aims to produce a valid and reliable higher order thinking skills (HOTS) physics test instrument of high school. This research took place in the even semester of school year 2018/ 2019 at Physics Education Student FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. In this study, researchers used a 4D development model implemented of 4 stages: define, design, development and disseminate, but on this researchers only limited to the stage of development. In the development phase consists of several steps; expert appraisal, limited trials, and large-scale trials. The results of this indicate (1) the instruments validation test in an expert appraisal (expert judgement) was assessed by two expert to assess the construct, content and empirical aspects of Prototype I that had been made by providing walktrough assessment sheets along with comments and suggestions with an average of validity score was 89% with a very valid category; (2) reliable testing of instruments assessed from development testing at the stage of field testing found that the average reliability score of the trial phase was limited and large-scale trials in sequence were 0,76 and 0,67 with high levels of reliability. Thus, based on the results of the research data, it was found that higher order thinking skills (HOTS) physics test instrument on Fluid and harmonic vibrations of high school developed was classified as valid and reliable.

Abstract

Komputasi fisika dapat digunakan dalam membantu menyelesaikan persamaan dinamika benda yang kompleks, baik translasi maupun rotasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan perbedaan dinamika gasing balik dengan dan tanpa gesekan.  Persamaan gerak gasing balik di bidang datar dengan gesekan telah diturunkaan dengan metode reduksi Routhian dengan persamaan Poincare dengan bantuan komputasi pada penelitian sebelumya, dan telah pula dilakukan komputasi dalam pencarian solusi numerik dinamika gasing balik  dengan gesekan menggunakan program Maple. Dalam penelitian ini reduksi yang digunakan adalah reduksi Routhian, sehingga persamaan yang digunakan dalam menentukan persamaan gerak gasing balik adalah persamaan Poincaré yang didasari oleh reduksi Routhian dengan dan tanpa gesekan. Pengaruh gesekan dapat terlihat jelas melalui persamaan dinamika dan grafik pada gasing balik. Metode ini dapat menurunkan persamaan gerak gasing balik dengan dan tanpa gesekan yang bergerak di bidang datar dengan jelas berupa himpunan persamaan diferensial. Penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan menyelesaikan persamaan dinamika gasing balik di bidang melengkung seperti torus dan bola. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyelesaikan persamaan gerak gasing balik dengan dan tanpa gesekan memanfaatkkan komputasi fisika berbasis maple. Hasil temuan penelitian ini adalah persamaan dinamika dan grafik persamaan gasing balik dengan dan tanpa gesekan.

Abstract

Technology in the world is growing, technological developments have an impact on the world of education. One of the uses of technology is with cellphones, where cellphones are included in technology that is very popular with everyone. Therefore, the microscope media is designed with a smartphone camera. It is expected that microscope learning media based on smartphone cameras is one of the alternative learning media in schools that do not have a light microscope. The smartphone camera-based digital microscope is classified as a laboratory tool (tool of practice) in learning physics, biology. This smartphone camera-based microscope produces a fairly good and clear image, this camera-based digital microscope is easily poisoned with material that is easily found in everyday life. The workings of a digital microscope based on a smartphone camera are almost the same as the way a light microscope works, only here use the help of a smartphone so that the image obtained is more clearly visible on the smartphone screen.

Abstract

Computational physics can be used to help solve complex dynamics equations, both translational and rotational. The purpose of this study is to obtain differences in the dynamics of mechanical systems with non-holonomic constraints in various flat and curved configuration spaces based on physics computing. In this study the reduction used is a mathematical calculation of the Port-Contolled Hamiltonian System (PCHS) equation in a mechanical system that is a Stroller, so that the equation used in determining the Stroller motion equation with and without friction that moves in the curved plane in the form of a spherical surface with various initial conditions based on maple is Poincaré's equation which is based on Routhian reduction with and without friction. The effect of friction can be clearly seen through dynamics and graphical equations on the Stroller. This method can reduce the Stroller motion equation with and without friction that moves on the ball sphere clearly in the form of a set of differential equations. The findings of this study are dynamic equations and graphs of Stroller equations with and without friction that move in the curved plane in the form of a spherical ball with varying initial conditions based on maples. This study proves physical concepts about dynamics and kinematics and analyzes Stroller dynamics using computational physics to determine the characteristics of complex and complex Stroller movements, both translational and rotational.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical e-learning model for critical thinking skills using the moodle platform in the lesson of electromagnetic induction. Dick and Carey instructional design model is applied for the product development—which consists of nine stages, (1) instructional goals identification, (2) instructional analysis, (3) learners and contexts analysis, (4) objective performance arrangement, (5) assessment instruments development, (6) instructional strategy’s plan, (7) instructional material selection, (8) preparation for conducting a formative evaluation of the instruction, and (9) revise instruction. The results reveal the moodle design is valid and practical regarding expert and user perspectives, respectively. Besides, there is an improvement of student’s critical thinking skills according to the obtained n-gain score, which stands for 0.38.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the category of understanding the concept of kinematics using Certainty of Response Index (CRI) assisted Computer Based Test (CBT) and to determine misconceptions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. The method used in this research is descriptive and the instrument used in this study is a multiple choice test using CRI and reason. The test was conducted on 57 students from class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3. Rasch modeling is used for the processing stage from raw data to logit numbers which will provide information related to infits and outfits in the ministep software besides manual analysis using CRI. The result of the analysis that have been carried out considering students who are outliers or misfits, data from the ministep software and the reasons for the answer given, 41 students are obtained according to the Rasch modeling and 16 students who are outliers or misfits. The result showed that the average score of concept understanding was 23.44%, while for the concept understanding category it was 2.15%, the concept understanding category but not sure was 0.00%, the misconception category was 70.02% and did not understand the concept of 27.83%. The result of the interview found several causes of misconceptions, namely the references form used in the languange in the book was difficult to understand and the learning model usel was not quite right.

Abstract

Telah diturunkan persamaan gaya-gaya pada gerak benda ruang 3D (tippe top) dengan metode Eular-Lagrange dengan memanfaatkan komputer, dan telah pula dilakukan komputasi dalam pencarian solusi numerik gaya-gaya pada dinamika tippe top dengan menggunakan program Maple. Analisis dinamika tippe top dapat menggunakan penurunan persamaan Eular dengan bantuan komputasi fisika. Persamaan gaya-gaya pada gerak tippe top harus direduksi agar permasalahan tippe top dapat diselesaikan. Dalam kajian ilmiah ini reduksi yang digunakan adalah reduksi Routhian, sehingga persamaan yang digunakan dalam menentukan persamaan gerak tippe top adalah persamaan Poincaré yang didasari oleh reduksi Routhian. Dengan metode ini dapat diturunkan gaya-gaya pada persamaan gerak tippe top, yang bergerak di bidang datar berupa himpunan persamaan diferensial.
