Abstract

Studio Ghibli is widely known for its distinctive visual style and aesthetic value, making it a source of inspiration for many digital artists. In the era of technological advancement, a new phenomenon has emerged in the form of Ghibli-style artworks produced by artificial intelligence (AI). Without manual drawing skills, anyone can now create Ghibli-style illustrations simply by inputting text or reference images. In Indonesia, this trend is growing rapidly and is even used as a livelihood by some students. However, the commercial use of Ghibli's visual style without permission raises ethical and legal issues, considering that Studio Ghibli has never approved the practice. This study aims to analyze how mass media influences students' perceptions of the use of Ghibli-style AI art as a means of earning income. The main focus lies on how the media frames the issue, as well as how students understand the legitimacy, ethics, and economic value of the AI works. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, digital observation, and literature study. The results show that mass media plays an important role in shaping students' opinions, especially in legitimizing or creating doubts about this practice. Exposure to media that support technological advancement tends to make students more accepting of the use of AI art as an economic opportunity. Conversely, media that highlight ethical and copyright issues tend to trigger critical attitudes towards the practice. This research emphasizes the importance of media literacy and digital ethics in dealing with the dynamics of today's art technology. This finding confirms that students are not passive in receiving information from mass media; they sort and judge based on personal values, social context, and economic needs. Thus, mass media not only functions as a source of information, but also as an agent of shaping perceptions and ethical considerations in the era of creative technology.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how interpersonal communication strategies and self-management are carried out by Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM) students who work part-time in achieving work-life balance. This research is important considering that students are in the transition phase towards adulthood, where academic, social, and economic demands are increasingly complex. This research approach was qualitative with a case study type. The theory used was Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to explain work motivation and the interpersonal communication approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations of five informants who are active UTM students working part-time for at least the last 3 months. Informants were selected using purposive sampling technique based on the relevance of the criteria, and assisted with snowball sampling if needed. The results showed that part-time students experience challenges in balancing academic and work activities. However, they usde adaptive interpersonal communication strategies and good self-management in dealing with work and study demands. This study emphasizes the importance of time management and social support in maintaining the work-life balance of working students.

Abstract

Media sosial memegang peran strategis dalam memperkenalkan budaya lokal ke kancah global, khususnya melalui platform berbasis visual seperti Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana budaya lokal Kabupaten Sampang direpresentasikan melalui akun Instagram Sampang Kreatif, serta mengevaluasi strategi komunikasi yang digunakan untuk menjangkau audiens global. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melalui observasi konten, analisis visual, serta keterlibatan audiens. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa akun tersebut secara konsisten menampilkan unsur budaya lokal seperti pakaian adat, kesenian tradisional, kuliner khas, dan lanskap daerah, yang dikemas secara modern dan estetis. Strategi komunikasi meliputi penggunaan bahasa campuran (Indonesia dan Inggris), pemanfaatan tagar global, serta visualisasi yang menarik. Meskipun keterlibatan audiens internasional masih terbatas, konsistensi representasi budaya menunjukkan potensi yang kuat untuk promosi global. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan narasi multibahasa, kolaborasi kreatif dengan kreator internasional, serta penerapan strategi komunikasi lintas budaya guna meningkatkan efektivitas promosi budaya lokal di era digital.

Abstract

Penguatan edukasi menjadi langkah penting dalam menghadapi perkembangan sistem pembayaran non-tunai di era digital. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam menggunakan QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) sebagai metode pembayaran digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa KKN Universitas Trunojoyo Madura Kelompok 43 yang bekerjasama dengan Bank Indonesia pada Juli 2025 di Desa Tampojung Tenggina, Kabupaten Pamekasan, Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan mencakup observasi awal, wawancara, sosialisasi interaktif, dan pendampingan teknis langsung kepada pelaku UMKM. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penggunaan aplikasi pembayaran digital, dengan 3 UMKM berhasil mendaftar QRIS, 35 pelaku usaha menggunakan Dana, dan 9 menggunakan GoPay. Selain itu, pelaku UMKM juga mulai memanfaatkan media digital untuk pencatatan keuangan dan promosi produk. Dampak kegiatan ini terlihat dari meningkatnya kepercayaan diri pelaku usaha dalam mengadopsi sistem pembayaran digital. Meskipun masih terdapat tantangan infrastruktur seperti jaringan internet dan keterbatasan perangkat, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendorong inklusi keuangan dan transformasi digital di tingkat desa.
