Abstract

In today's Christian worship celebrations, music has an almost inseparable role in the course of worship. However, it is equally important that the minister of church music should have a character that reflects the character of Jesus. If a church musician does not exhibit the character of Christ, he or she can become a stumbling block to the congregation. This article aims to examine the character of Jesus in His ministry based on Matthew 11:29 and relate it to the role of God's servants in the field of church music. Thus, church musicians are expected not only to serve based on their musical skills, but also with a character that is in accordance with the teachings of Christ. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach from various sources, such as journals, books, and the Bible. The results showed that Jesus' character has relevance for today's church music. First, church musicians must learn to be faithful and obedient to God in their ministry. Second, they need to have a meek attitude to create harmony in the music team. Third, a humble attitude should also be developed in every aspect of their ministry. This research has shown that the character of Jesus forms the spiritual foundation for church musicians, creating a harmonious, humble, and faithful ministry.

Abstract

Various religions view non-faith marriage as a controversial decision and contrary to religious teachings. The reality is that many people, including Christians, enter into marriages outside their faith. This marriage is based on the view that it is an individual right. Furthermore, marriage is seen as a demonstration of love and a pursuit of happiness. This qualitative research uses literature and hermeneutic methods to expose the text of Genesis 6:1-4. The purpose of this research is to examine the meaning of the text of Genesis 6:1-4 through exposition. Then examines the theological implications of this exposition for the autonomy of the Christian individual. The exposition's findings demonstrate that unfaithful marriages contradict God's Word and are based primarily on physical appearance, neglecting spiritual qualities. Unfaithful marriages negatively impact not only the individual Christians themselves but also their families and offspring.

Abstract

In this article, the author tries to conduct a comparative study of the pattern of human creation in Genesis 1:26-28 with Darwin's theory of evolution. According to Genesis 1:26-28, humans are God's creations formed from dust and soil, then given the breath of life. Meanwhile, according to Darwin's theory, humans are the result of the evolution of other living creatures, starting from very simple organisms that then changed into what they are today. The research method used by the author is qualitative research using literature studies on views from various journals, articles, Bibles and books. The results of this study show that there are fundamental differences regarding the origin of humans. Theologians hold the belief that the first humans were created through God's special work. While evolutionary followers argue that humans are a change in form from other organisms over a very long period of time. Through this research, it is hoped that it will provide additional views in the treasury of scientific knowledge and can be used as one of the considerations to answer the differences in views that are still being discussed today.
