Abstract

A case of abuse that resulted in the death of a stepchild in Medan involved stepparents who were sentenced to various punishments. This tragic incident occurred when the stepchild became a victim of physical violence by her stepmother and biological father. As a result of the ongoing abuse, the child suffered severe injuries that led to her death. During the trial, the court decided on varying sentences for both perpetrators, with the stepmother receiving a heavier sentence due to her dominant role in the violence, while the biological father was sentenced to a lighter sentence. This case raises the issue of domestic violence, especially against children, and the importance of protecting children from domestic violence. This legal decision is expected to provide a deterrent effect and increase public awareness of the importance of supervision and protection of children.

Abstract

Parents often commit acts of violence against children, although the goal is to educate but most parents take the wrong steps, as a result many children experience trauma and child development worsens due to the violence given when they were little. Many habits are often dangerous for children but parents are often not aware of it, so many children get bad impacts from these habits. Parents should be more careful in taking a stance towards their students, and this is very important because it greatly affects the child's future development. Although most parents are not aware that what is given to children has a great influence on children both mentally and physically.

Abstract

Kasus penemuan mayat wanita korban mutilasi dalam koper di Ngawi menjadi perhatian publik karena unsur kekerasan dan kejahatan yang mengerikan. Mayat korban ditemukan pada 23 Januari 2025 di sebuah selokan di Desa Dadapan, Ngawi. Identitas korban diungkap sebagai Uswatun Khasanah (29), yang tubuhnya ditemukan tanpa kepala dan kaki. Investigasi mengarah pada tersangka utama, Rohmad Tri Hartanto alias Antok (32), yang memiliki hubungan dekat dengan korban. Motif kejahatan diduga terkait dengan kecemburuan dan permasalahan pribadi. Potongan tubuh korban ditemukan di beberapa lokasi terpisah, menunjukkan tindakan terencana dari pelaku. Kasus ini menyoroti urgensi pencegahan kekerasan dalam hubungan personal serta pentingnya penegakan hukum yang ketat terhadap kejahatan mutilasi.
