Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of information technology has driven significant transformation in learning practices in the 21st century. The integration of Blended Learning and Flipped Classroom models is one of the effective strategies to answer the demands of more flexible, interactive and 21st century skills-based learning. This article aims to analyse the effectiveness of combining the two models in encouraging learners' active engagement and improving learning outcomes. The approach used in this research is a systematic literature study that reviews various scientific articles from the last five years. The results show that the integrative application of Blended Learning - which combines face-to-face and online learning - with Flipped Classroom - which flips the role of the classroom into a space for exploration after self-learning - can create a more flexible, interactive and learner-centred learning environment. In addition, this model has been shown to increase independence, responsibility for learning, and in-depth understanding of concepts. This article recommends that educators and education policy makers consider integrating these two approaches in curriculum planning and instructional design, to facilitate contextualised and adaptive learning to future challenges.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic cultural values in the development of mathematics during the Islamic Golden Age (8th to 13th centuries CE). A historical approach is employed to explore the contributions of Muslim scholars such as Al-Khawarizmi, Al-Battani, and Umar Khayyam in formulating mathematical theories that laid the foundation for modern science. The findings of the research indicate that Islamic cultural values, such as Tawhid (monotheism), Ijtihad (independent reasoning), balance, and responsibility, spurred the emergence of innovations and scientific ideas with universal significance. Institutions like Bayt al-Hikmah became centers of research that integrated spiritual values with the exploration of knowledge. Through these values, mathematics became not only a technical discipline but also one with profound philosophical meaning. This study emphasizes that the integration of Islamic cultural values in science significantly contributed to the advancement of Islamic civilization and the intellectual heritage of the world.

Abstract

This study explores the collaboration between Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Counseling Guidance (BK) teachers at SMK Al-Ikhsan Sukanegara in fostering students’ moral development. Employing a qualitative case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study reveals that PAI teachers focus on instilling moral and religious values through teaching and exemplary conduct, while BK teachers assist students through counseling services, character development programs, and preventive interventions. The synergy between the two disciplines plays a crucial role in addressing students' behavioral issues and promoting ethical awareness. Despite several obstacles, such as limited human resources, overlapping duties, and time constraints, the collaboration shows promising results due to regular communication, mutual support, and shared goals. The findings indicate that this partnership not only improves students' behavior and discipline but also enhances their spiritual and emotional intelligence. The study recommends strengthening institutional support and professional development to sustain and improve interdisciplinary collaboration in moral education. This model of cooperation between PAI and BK teachers can serve as a reference for other educational institutions aiming to integrate moral and counseling approaches in fostering students’ holistic character development.
