Abstract

Pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar di PAUD memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini, terutama di wilayah pedesaan yang masih memiliki kekayaan alam. Namun, dalam praktiknya, pembelajaran masih banyak berpusat pada guru dan terbatas di dalam kelas, sehingga mengurangi kesempatan anak untuk belajar secara kontekstual dan langsung dari lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana lingkungan alam dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini, serta mengkaji peran guru, respons anak, dan dukungan masyarakat dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus, yang dilakukan di salah satu PAUD di wilayah pedesaan Kota Kandangan. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis alam dilakukan secara rutin dan dirancang sesuai tema mingguan. Guru berperan aktif sebagai fasilitator, anak menunjukkan keterlibatan tinggi dalam proses belajar, dan masyarakat turut serta mendukung kegiatan eksplorasi. Pembelajaran ini mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual, menyenangkan, serta mendukung perkembangan kognitif, sosial, dan emosional anak.

Abstract

Parental involvement in early childhood education serves as a crucial foundation for shaping children's character, moral values, and basic skills. Although formal education is available, the role of the family remains a primary factor in a child’s development. However, the degree of parental involvement varies depending on social, economic, and educational backgrounds. This study aims to describe the forms of parental involvement in early childhood education and the influencing factors. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through interviews and observations involving selected informants. The findings reveal three main points. First, parents generally hold a positive perception of the importance of early childhood education. Second, the forms of involvement vary, ranging from actively assisting children’s learning to fully delegating the responsibility to a partner or educational institution. Third, involvement is influenced by factors such as time availability, spousal support, availability of learning resources at home, and the educational background of parents. These findings highlight the significance of family support as the primary learning environment from an early age.

Abstract

The socio-emotional development of early childhood is strongly influenced by parenting patterns and internal family conditions. In today's social reality, more children are growing up in non-intact families with minimal paternal involvement and permissive parenting styles, which negatively affect their ability to build social relationships and manage emotions. This issue is crucial to examine, considering that early childhood serves as the foundation for subsequent psychosocial development. This study aims to explain the role of the family in the socio-emotional development of early childhood through a case study approach. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that: (1) the absence of a father figure leads to children being withdrawn and lacking self-confidence; (2) permissive parenting results in difficulties in emotional regulation; and (3) limited emotional support within the family contributes to low social skills in children.
