Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in the Teluk Selong Road repair project, Martapura Barat District, Banjar Regency, with the main focus on improving the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) through education on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in piling works. The main issue faced was the high risk of work accidents due to the unstable environment along the Martapura River's edge and the use of heavy machinery during the construction process. This program aims to enhance workers' awareness and discipline regarding the importance of PPE usage and the implementation of safe work procedures according to OHS standards. The implementation methods included technical guidance, daily field supervision, and regular evaluations and feedback. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in PPE compliance among workers, the development of a better safety culture, and the creation of comprehensive documentation that can serve as a reference for similar projects in the future. This program not only had a direct impact on the protection of workers but also has the potential to encourage further research and the development of safety policies in the construction sector. Therefore, participatory OHS education has proven to be effective in improving work safety and productivity in high-risk project environments.

Abstract

Program Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS) merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam meningkatkan kualitas hunian masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah melalui bantuan stimulan yang bersifat swadaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pendampingan masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan program BSPS di Kelurahan Kelayan Selatan, Kota Banjarmasin. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan penerima bantuan, fasilitator, serta pihak terkait lainnya, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi program, verifikasi calon penerima bantuan, pendampingan teknis pembangunan rumah, hingga pelaporan dan evaluasi. Masyarakat menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, meskipun dihadapkan pada beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan dana tambahan, kurangnya pemahaman teknis, dan keterlambatan material. Secara keseluruhan, pendampingan berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pelaksanaan BSPS dan mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam perbaikan hunian mereka. Diharapkan ke depan pendampingan dapat lebih ditingkatkan baik dari segi kualitas maupun kuantitas untuk menjangkau lebih banyak penerima manfaat.

Abstract

Pendampingan teknis dalam kegiatan konstruksi merupakan bagian penting untuk menjamin mutu dan ketepatan pelaksanaan pekerjaan, terutama pada proyek perbaikan infrastruktur gedung pemerintahan. Penelitian ini membahas proses pendampingan dalam perbaikan dak atap Gedung Pengadilan Negeri Martapura di Kabupaten Banjar. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan pihak pelaksana, serta studi dokumentasi. Pendampingan dilakukan sejak tahap identifikasi kerusakan, penyusunan rencana teknis perbaikan, pemilihan material, hingga pengawasan pelaksanaan di lapangan. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa perbaikan dak atap berjalan sesuai rencana dan spesifikasi teknis, meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti kondisi struktur lama dan cuaca yang tidak mendukung. Pendampingan terbukti mampu meningkatkan kualitas hasil pekerjaan serta meminimalkan risiko kegagalan struktur di masa mendatang. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat sinergi antara tim teknis, pelaksana, dan pihak instansi pengguna gedung

Abstract

Perdagangan Street, located in Alalak Utara Village, Banjarmasin Utara District, Banjarmasin City, serves as an important connecting route between the HKSN Housing Complex and Brigjen Hasan Basri Street. The high traffic intensity in this area makes the road condition vital for community mobility. However, flooding caused by heavy rainfall has significantly damaged the road surface and negatively impacted the surrounding residential environment. This study was conducted to analyze and determine an effective drainage system for water disposal along the road. The method involved field observations, identification of flood-prone points, and technical calculations of the required drainage capacity. The findings indicate that flooding occurs due to limited existing drainage channels, insufficient capacity, and the absence of an integrated water disposal system with the surrounding environment. Through technical calculations, a new drainage system design was proposed to optimize rainwater flow into the main disposal channels. The implementation of this system is expected to reduce flooding, extend the lifespan of the pavement, and improve comfort and safety for both residents and road users. Thus, this research provides a practical contribution to improving residential road infrastructure while creating a healthier and more livable environment.
