Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in classroom management to improve student discipline in elementary schools. Teachers hold an important responsibility in creating a conducive learning environment through effective classroom management. The research method used is a literature study by evaluating various books, journals, scientific articles, and other publications related to the research issue. The results show that teachers play roles as planners, implementers, and evaluators in classroom management. Teachers establish rules, provide consequences for violations, and foster positive communication with students. The strategies used include persuasive approaches, providing motivation, and setting examples. With good classroom management, an orderly and disciplined learning environment is created, which significantly affects the improvement of student discipline. The success of teachers in managing the classroom has a direct impact on students' discipline, thus requiring professional competence and appropriate pedagogical approaches to achieve this goal. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memahami fungsi guru dalam manajemen kelas demi meningkatkan disiplin siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Guru memainkan peran krusial dalam membangun suasana belajar yang mendukung dengan cara melakukan manajemen kelas yang efisien. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengevaluasi berbagai buku, jurnal, artikel ilmiah, serta publikasi lain yang berkaitan dengan isu penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran sebagai perencana, pelaksana, dan evaluator dalam manajemen kelas. Guru menetapkan aturan, memberikan konsekuensi atas pelanggaran, serta membina komunikasi yang positif dengan siswa. Strategi yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan persuasif, pemberian motivasi, dan keteladanan. Dengan manajemen kelas yang baik, tercipta suasana belajar yang teratur dan tertib, yang secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan siswa. Keberhasilan guru dalam mengelola kelas berdampak langsung terhadap sikap disiplin siswa, sehingga diperlukan kompetensi profesional dan pendekatan pedagogis yang tepat dari guru untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine how muhadhoroh activities can help improve students' self-confidence at SDIT Widya Cendekia. This activity is a public speaking exercise that has become a regular part of the school program. Through muhadhoroh, students learn to speak in front of their peers, express their opinions, and develop courage from an early age. The study used a qualitative approach with interviews with four teachers directly involved. The data obtained were then analyzed to determine the role of teachers and the impact of the activities on students. The results showed that muhadhoroh had a positive influence on students' self-confidence, especially for those who were initially shy. Students became more confident speaking, had the courage to speak in front of the class, and were able to express their opinions more clearly. The support of teachers and parents also significantly contributed to students' feeling of preparedness and confidence. Overall, muhadhoroh activities can be an effective habit-forming tool for fostering self-confidence and developing positive character traits in elementary school students.
