Abstract

Growing learning motivation and critical thinking is an important thing that can be done early. It is needed as one of the learner ways to face the development of the 21st century in the era of globalization. This can be done through the media to increase the learning motivation and generate the character of critical thinking. Learning media has a function to facilitate teachers in conveying the learning process so that it can generate learning motivation and train the critical thinking skills of learners in solving the problems. The research aims at, (1) explaining the use of media, learning motivation and critical thinking of Fourth Grade Students. (2) knowing the influence of the use of media against the learning motivation of Fourth Grade Students. (3) knowing the influence of the use of media against critical thinking of of Fourth Grade Students. (4) knowing the relation between the use of media against the learning motivation and critical thinking of fourth grade students. The research used quantitative approach of quasi-experimental type with nonequivalent control group-pretest-posttest design. Data analysis in the research was obtained through SPSS 23 program. The results of the research consisted of (1) the use of questionnaire media can provide attention, affection, understanding, that is 23,9%. Learning motivation in experiment class can achieve goal, responsible, feedback, risk, creative and innovative, likes challenge that is 76,36% in good criteria. The control class is 35.8%. high category of critical thinking is 79,16% in experiment class, and the control class is 73,3%. (2) The value of significant is 0.005. Thus, there is a significant influence between the media against learning motivation, with average value of experiment class 33.00 and control class 32.00. (3) The value of significant is 0,000. Thus, there is a significant influence between the media against critical thinking with average value of experiment class 82.5 and control class 78.9. (4) Media correlation coefficient against learning motivation is 0,571 means that it has enough correlation. The media against critical thinking is 0.579 means that it has enough correlation. Thus the pop-up book media has less influence on the motivation of learning and critical thinking, which should be coupled with the model or learning method in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan metode SAS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas II MI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode PTK yang dilaksanakan dalam II siklus, masing – masing siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah berupa tes, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan dalam penerapan metode SAS dari II siklus. Siklus I yaitu 44% sedangkan siklus II yaitu 83% ketuntasannya. Jadi, dari siklus I dan siklus II meningkat 39% ketuntasannya. Oleh karena itu dapat dinyatakan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode SAS kemampuan membaca permulaan pada kelas II MI Tarbiyatun Mubtadiin Kecamatan Padarincang Kabupaten Serang dinyatakan berhasil. Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of the use of the TikTok application on the learning behavior of elementary school students. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, where data is collected through structured interviews with fellow female students who have experience as teachers in several Islamic Ibtidaiyah Madrasas (MI) and Private Ibtidaiyah Madrasas (MIS). The use of TikTok can influence changes in behavior in children, both moral and social behavior in their environment. So careful, continuous supervision and restrictions by teachers and parents are needed regarding children's use of TikTok. Based on the results of research from several researchers, it is stated that TikTok has a relevant influence on students' interest in learning, to the point that it becomes a concern for teachers, namely that it also influences learning outcomes.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low interest in learning of class III students at SDN Citeureup 1 in the Citizenship Education (PKn) eye. This study aims to describe the application of the picture story method to civics subjects in class III SDN Citeureup 1. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was carried out at SDN Citeureup 1. The time of the research was carried out on November 18, 2021. Data collection techniques were through observation, interviews, and document review. The results show that there is an interest in students taking part in lessons and being actively involved in learning. Suggestions for teachers are that the pictorial story method can be applied in schools so that students are happy and actively involved in learning.

Abstract

The form of problems that are often faced by the world of education, especially learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education is the low interest of students in learning. One approach that must be developed to answer these problems is a contextual approach or contextual education and learning (CTL). The CTL approach is learning that helps teachers relate material to students' actual situations and encourages them to connect their knowledge in everyday life. This study aims to find out how the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method is carried out at SDN Babadsari 1. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. Instruments in the form of observation, interviews, and document review. Based on the findings that have been made at SDN Babadsari 1 and previous research related to the use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method in improving learning outcomes, it is considered quite effective. The CTL approach requires students to connect the concepts studied with their situation.

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 is a phenomenon that has a very important impact on the order of life. Education is one of the fields that has felt the impact of the pandemicCovid-19 in Indonesia. Based on a circular relating to policies for implementing education during the emergency deployment period Covid-19 which has the impact of changing normal learning activities to distance learning. A program that is unusual to implement is certainly a program that needs to be analyzed regarding the implementation of the program. Primary level schools in Serang City are one of the objects that need to be explored regarding the implementation of distance learning. The aim of this research is to find out how online learning was implemented during the pandemic Covid-19 in elementary schools throughout the city of Serang. The method used is an evaluative qualitative research method using an evaluation model responsive evaluative according to Robert Stake's. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of online learning during the pandemic Covid-19 in elementary schools throughout the city of Serang is said to be quite conducive. This is of course adjusted to the conditions of each school. Facts on the ground show that the implementation of online learning is also influenced by internal and external factors.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find the problems that exist in the implementation of social studies learning in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This research was conducted at SDN Ciwaktu in the city of Serang using the interview method with teachers at SDN Ciwaktu. The results of this research show that students have problems both from external factors, namely school and family factors, and internal factors consisting of intelligence, interests, talents, motivation, emotion and mental health. The most important thing is the teacher's lack of ability to choose learning methods and media that suit the character of each student.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the use of cartoon puppet media through a paired storytelling model to improve reading comprehension skills in class IV MIS Nurul Hasanah Sukaharja. The type of research used in this research is a class action research (CAR) model by Kemmis & Mc. Taggart was carried out in 2 cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were the fourth-grade students of MIS Nurul Hasanah Sukaharja, totaling 24 students. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observations about teacher and student actions, and reading comprehension test data for students. The results of this study show that the use of cartoon puppet media through the paired storytelling model in class IV MIS Nurul Hasanah Sukaharja is carried out well and is categorized very well. Then the ability to read comprehension on fictional story material after using cartoon puppet media through paired storytelling model in class IV MIS Nurul Hasanah Sukaharja has increased. The results of reading comprehension ability in the first cycle of observation of student activities obtained a percentage value of 72.72% with quite good qualifications, in the second cycle it increased by obtaining a percentage value of 90.9% with very good qualifications, and reading comprehension skills increased. This can be seen in the results of the reading comprehension test assessment results from the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The average result value in the pre-cycle is 59.58, the first cycle gets an average value of 64.16 and the second cycle gets an average value of 76.67. In addition, the results of the assessment of the percentage of students' reading comprehension mastery in the pre-cycle obtained a percentage value of 45.83%, the first cycle obtained a percentage value of 58.33%, and the second cycle obtained a percentage value of 100%.

Abstract

One way to overcome the learning deficit caused by the Covid-19 pandemic is through the Independent Curriculum. This aims to change the curriculum so that students' interests and skills will be honed so that they can concentrate on building critical knowledge, moral qualities and student competencies. The aim of this research is to find out more about the implementation of the independent curriculum at SDN 13 Serang, identify the challenges faced by teachers there, and study the strategies teachers apply to overcome these challenges. Descriptive qualitative research methodology was used in this research. Research findings show that the SDN 13 Serang school has succeeded in incorporating the independent curriculum into its teaching methods, although there are a number of challenges faced during this process. The school community's acceptance of the independent curriculum is an aspect that contributes to its implementation. Apart from limited references and unequal access to learning, teachers have additional challenges in implementing an independent curriculum, one of which is the lack of infrastructure to support it. In addition, because the school emphasizes learning according to independent curriculum standards, its use has a very positive impact.
