Abstract

This study investigates science learning outcomes on the topic Matter and Its Changes among seventh-grade students at MTs, with a focus on gender differences. Using a descriptive survey method, the entire population of 77 students (two male classes and two female classes) was involved. Data were collected through post-tests, questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed quantitatively using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results show that female students had significantly higher average learning outcomes (64.04) compared to male students (45.50). Further analysis revealed that female students performed better at cognitive levels C3, C4, and C5, as well as across all subtopics. Qualitative findings from teacher interviews suggest that this difference is consistent and may be attributed to female students’ ambition and logical reasoning, as observed in class. However, questionnaire data indicate that male students report higher self-confidence. The study concludes that gender differences significantly influence science learning outcomes, with implications for instructional strategies and gender-responsive teaching practice

Abstract

Gangguan psikotik merupakan gangguan yang dapat mempengaruhi pikiran, gangguan ini mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan mana kenyataan dan khayalan. Permasalahan tersebut membutuhkan pendekatan yang inovatif bagi mereka dalam membantu meningkatkan kestabilan baik emosional dan kognitifnya. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dijalankan yaitu pelatihan keterampilan melalui aktivitas meronce dengan manik-manik. Pelatihan meronce ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemusatan perhatian. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dilaksanakan di Balai RSBKL (Bina Karya) Yogyakarta. Hasil pengamatan dan pelaksanaan pelatihan melalui seni meronce terhadap pemusatan perhatian pada PPKS, pelatihan meronce ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang bermanfaat karena PPKS mampu melaksanakan pelatihan ini serta memusatkan perhatiannya pada objek yang dibuat. Kemampuan meronce yang dilakukan PPKS pada saat berlangsungnya kegiatan memilki hasil yang baik. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari pelatihan ini, PPKS dapat menaruh perhatian mereka pada pelatihan meronce tersebut, serta dapat menyusun manik-manik meronce. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui pelatihan seni meronce dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi dan bisa memberi kesempatan bagi PPKS untuk mendalami keahlian seni serta PPKS dapat memfokuskan diri dalam memasukkan manik-manik terutama mengkategorikan berdasarkan penyusunan warna.

Abstract

This study employed a qualitative research design with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The key informants comprised the principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, and teachers of MTs Az Zahro. Data were analyzed through processes of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, while the credibility of findings was ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results reveal that the principal fulfills an active role as a motivator, role model, and supervisor. He encourages teachers by adopting persuasive strategies, engaging directly in school activities, and providing recognition for strong performance. His democratic and communicative leadership style has fostered a positive and collegial working environment. The majority of teachers demonstrated a strong work ethic, reflected in their discipline, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm for teaching. Nevertheless, a small number of teachers exhibited decreased motivation, attributed to professional fatigue or external challenges.
