Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of Islamic religious education curriculum that is responsive to cultural diversity is an urgent need in Indonesia’s pluralistic society. This study aims to examine the influencing factors, fundamental principles, and the design of a multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using literature review techniques from recent scholarly sources. Data were analyzed through systematic reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the development of a multicultural-based curriculum is influenced by the diversity of students' backgrounds, social dynamics, and evolving times. The main principles underlying the development include relevance, flexibility, continuity, and efficiency. Meanwhile, the curriculum design is developed through steps that involve identifying needs, formulating objectives, selecting materials, choosing participatory learning methods, and conducting a comprehensive evaluation. The study concludes that a multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum serves as a strategic tool to shape inclusive, tolerant students capable of living harmoniously within a diverse society. ABSTRAK Pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam yang mampu merespons keberagaman budaya menjadi kebutuhan mendesak di tengah pluralitas masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, prinsip-prinsip dasar, serta desain pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam berbasis multikultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka dari sumber-sumber ilmiah terkini. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kurikulum berbasis multikultural dipengaruhi oleh keberagaman latar belakang peserta didik, dinamika sosial, serta perkembangan zaman. Prinsip-prinsip utama yang mendasari pengembangannya meliputi relevansi, fleksibilitas, kesinambungan, dan efisiensi. Sementara itu, desain kurikulum disusun melalui langkah-langkah yang melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan, perumusan tujuan, pemilihan materi, pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang partisipatif, serta evaluasi yang menyeluruh. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam berbasis multikultural dapat menjadi instrumen strategis dalam membentuk peserta didik yang inklusif, toleran, dan mampu hidup harmonis dalam masyarakat yang beragam.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning assessment instruments to the Islamic boarding school culture of students at MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan. Pesantren culture, as a characteristic of Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions, contains strong religious, moral, and disciplinary values. These values should ideally be reflected in PAI assessment instruments, so that the assessment measures not only cognitive aspects, but also religious behavior, attitudes, and skills. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through direct observation in the madrasah environment, in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school teachers, and document analysis of the assessment instruments used. The results showed that most of the assessment instruments applied still focused on cognitive aspects, while the measurement of Islamic boarding school values such as etiquette, exemplary behavior, and daily worship practices had not been optimally accommodated. This finding indicates the need to develop assessment instruments that are integrative, contextual, and holistic. These instruments are expected to be able to measure all of students' religious competencies, including the affective and psychomotor dimensions, in accordance with the character and culture of the Islamic boarding school. The implications of this research encourage the formulation of authentic assessments that are relevant to the characteristics of students, local contexts, and Islamic boarding school values, so that the evaluation process can be fairer, more comprehensive, and reflect the goals of Islamic Education in Islamic boarding school environments. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis relevansi instrumen asesmen pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dengan budaya kepesantrenan peserta didik di MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan. Budaya kepesantrenan, sebagai ciri khas lembaga pendidikan berbasis pesantren, mengandung nilai-nilai keagamaan, moral, serta kedisiplinan yang kuat. Nilai-nilai tersebut idealnya tercermin dalam instrumen asesmen PAI, sehingga penilaian tidak hanya mengukur aspek kognitif, tetapi juga perilaku, sikap, dan keterampilan keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di lingkungan madrasah, wawancara mendalam dengan guru PAI, serta analisis dokumen instrumen asesmen yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar instrumen asesmen yang diterapkan masih berfokus pada aspek kognitif, sementara pengukuran nilai-nilai kepesantrenan seperti adab, keteladanan, serta praktik ibadah harian belum terakomodasi secara optimal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang bersifat integratif, kontekstual, dan holistik. Instrumen tersebut diharapkan mampu mengukur seluruh kompetensi keagamaan peserta didik, termasuk dimensi afektif dan psikomotor, sesuai dengan karakter dan budaya pesantren. Implikasi penelitian ini mendorong perumusan asesmen autentik yang relevan dengan karakteristik peserta didik, konteks lokal, dan nilai-nilai pesantren, sehingga proses evaluasi dapat lebih adil, menyeluruh, dan mencerminkan tujuan pendidikan PAI di lingkungan kepesantrenan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in instilling essential skills in students in preparation for Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045, using a case study at MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan. Essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and leadership are key components of 21st-century education. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study was conducted at MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan, involving main subject teachers, the school principal, and 11th and 12th grade students selected purposively. The data were analyzed interactively using Miles and Huberman’s model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study seeks to examine the teacher's role in developing students' essential skills as a contribution to shaping the Golden Generation 2045. The findings show that teachers play a crucial role as facilitators and mentors in developing students’ skills through active learning methods and activities rooted in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) values. However, the implementation of essential skills still faces challenges such as limited teacher training and suboptimal assessment systems for non-cognitive skills. Therefore, strengthening teacher professionalism and supportive educational policies are needed to ensure that education can truly produce an adaptive, character-driven generation ready to face future challenges. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam menanamkan keterampilan esensial siswa menuju Generasi Emas 2045, dengan studi kasus di MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan. Keterampilan esensial seperti berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan kepemimpinan menjadi elemen penting dalam pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MA Darul Hikmah Kyai Abdan dengan subjek guru mata pelajaran utama, kepala madrasah, serta siswa kelas XI dan XII yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dianalisis secara interaktif menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru dalam menanamkan keterampilan esensial siswa sebagai kontribusi menuju Generasi Emas 2045. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memainkan peran penting sebagai fasilitator dan pembimbing dalam membentuk keterampilan siswa, melalui metode pembelajaran aktif dan kegiatan berbasis nilai kepesantrenan. Meskipun demikian, implementasi keterampilan esensial masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan pelatihan guru dan belum optimalnya sistem evaluasi keterampilan non-kognitif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan profesionalisme guru dan dukungan kebijakan agar pendidikan benar-benar mampu mencetak generasi yang adaptif, berkarakter, dan siap menghadapi tantangan masa depan.
