Abstract

Pengelolaan persediaan yang efektif memainkan peran krusial dalam memastikan kelangsungan alur distribusi serta mendukung efisiensi proses operasional. Kajian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi strategi pengendalian persediaan yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi logistik sekaligus mengurangi potensi kelebihan dan kekurangan stok. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka secara sistematis dengan menelaah berbagai publikasi ilmiah dan referensi industri yang relevan. Penelitian ini menyoroti pendekatan tradisional seperti Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Just-In-Time (JIT), dan peramalan permintaan sebagai metode utama dalam pengaturan stok. Selain itu, dikaji pula peran teknologi mutakhir seperti Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam memperkuat sistem prediksi dan otomatisasi pengelolaan persediaan. Sampel literatur yang dianalisis mencakup konteks industri manufaktur dan distribusi dari berbagai negara. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perpaduan antara teknik klasik dan solusi digital mampu meningkatkan akurasi perencanaan, efisiensi operasional, serta ketanggapan terhadap perubahan permintaan pasar. Secara keseluruhan, perbaikan manajemen persediaan di era modern menuntut integrasi strategi konvensional dengan kemajuan teknologi untuk menjawab tantangan dinamika rantai pasok global.

Abstract

Sektor industri di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan daya saing melalui pengelolaan operasional yang efisien dan pengendalian proses produksi. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan metode Kaizen dalam kerangka Lean Logistic pada PT. Ban XYZ, sebuah perusahaan manufaktur ban, untuk mengatasi permasalahan efisiensi dan kualitas produk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang memungkinkan analisis mendalam terhadap kondisi nyata di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Kaizen telah diterapkan, permasalahan seperti kerusakan "lembaran" yang tersangkut pada mesin akibat stopper yang rusak sering terjadi, menyebabkan ketidakefisienan dan penyimpangan kualitas produk. Sebagai solusi, penambahan "stopper" pada elemen mesin pemuat poros diusulkan dan diterapkan, yang terbukti memperbaiki kinerja mesin, menghilangkan gangguan produksi, serta meningkatkan konsistensi kualitas produk sesuai standar. Penerapan Kaizen melalui perbaikan sederhana namun efektif ini juga mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja. Kesimpulannya, Lean Logistic dengan pendekatan Kaizen dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas produk secara signifikan di PT. Ban XYZ.

Abstract

Product damage during the delivery process can reduce customer satisfaction and negatively impact the image and performance of logistics service companies. This study aims to evaluate the level of product damage during the delivery process at PT X and to analyze the quality of the process using the Six Sigma approach. A quantitative method was employed using the DMAIC model (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews, and analyzed using the Seven Tools. The data processing results indicate that the damage rate between February and May 2024 reached 0.38%, with a DPMO value of 1,278 and a sigma level of 4.38. The dominant cause of damage was identified as human-related factors, such as carelessness during loading and unloading, and rushed driving. Recommended improvements include enhancing employee training, optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs), increasing the number of delivery vehicles, and improving packaging material quality. This study concludes that the Six Sigma method is effective in evaluating and improving delivery quality and can serve as a reference for strategic decision-making aimed at reducing damage rates..

Abstract

The industry 4.0 era has transformed logistics education by integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and big data analytics. The substantial gap between the competencies taught in educational institutions and the needs of the modern logistics industry demonstrates the need for a comprehensive analysis of the development of logistics education research. This research aims to analyse development trends, identify implementation challenges, and formulate strategies for the development of Industry 4.0 responsive logistics education curriculum. The systematic literature review method using the PRISMA framework was applied to 20 high-quality articles from the Scopus, Heliyon, Emerald Insight, Taylor & Francis Online, and SpringerLink databases for the period 2020-2025. The results of the study show a paradigmatic transformation from conventional approaches towards comprehensive digital technology integration, with research methodologies evolving from quantitative surveys to empirical analysis based on advanced technology. Implementation challenges include limited technological infrastructure, lecturer competency gaps, and varying student readiness. The conclusion of the study reveals the need for a holistic learning framework that integrates six main drivers with flipped classroom approaches and Outcome-Based Education. Curriculum development suggestions should integrate sustainability, resilience, and green innovation perspectives to prepare competent graduates to face the global logistics industry revolution.
