Abstract

This study explores Islamic legal views on vasectomy through a contemporary fiqh lens, examining how rulings on male permanent contraception have evolved in response to medical, social, and ethical developments. Using qualitative descriptive methods and content analysis, it analyzes MUI fatwas and classical-contemporary fiqh texts, supported by sources on maqashid al-shariah and maslahah mursalah. The findings show a shift from strict prohibition—based on principles like hifz al-nasl—to conditional acceptance, driven by necessity and public interest. The study also highlights MUI’s evolving stance, the role of contextual ijtihad, and limited public awareness. It concludes that vasectomy can be religiously allowed under specific conditions, such as medical or economic hardship, reflecting the adaptability of Islamic law to modern reproductive health issues.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of traditional Ketupat War values in character education for students at SMA Negeri 1 Tempilang, Bangka Belitung. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, and 11th-grade students. The research findings indicate that values such as cooperation, tolerance, brotherhood, responsibility, and cultural appreciation have been successfully internalized through various activities based on local traditions. The Ketupat War tradition is not only a medium for cultural preservation but also an effective and contextual moral education tool. The role of teachers as facilitators is crucial in incorporating character values into learning, while students demonstrate positive responses and significant changes in social attitudes. Challenges in integrating traditional values, such as the diversity of students' backgrounds, can be addressed through contextual approaches and the use of digital media. This study recommends the implementation of similar approaches in other regions to expand the model of education based on local wisdom that is adaptive to the times.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has brought significant changes to education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This article aims to examine the transformation of PAI learning strategies in the digital era through a literature study, focusing on challenges, various effective strategies, as well as evaluation and implications of their implementation. The findings show that integrating traditional methods with digital technology, such as blended learning, flipped classroom, and interactive media, can enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and understanding of religious values. However, the success of these strategies depends on teachers’ readiness, infrastructure availability, and policy support. This article recommends improving teachers’ digital literacy, developing adaptive curricula, equalizing technology access, and utilizing interactive digital media to realize contextual and character-based PAI learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the 21st century requires more adaptive, scientific, and integrated pedagogical approaches. One emerging paradigm is neuroeducation, an interdisciplinary integration of neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and pedagogy aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. This study systematically examines the role of neuroeducation in contemporary education by identifying implementation strategies, challenges, and its implications for educational policy. The method used was a systematic literature review (SLR) involving 20 peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025, retrieved from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and SINTA databases. The findings reveal that neuroeducation significantly contributes to improving learning outcomes through multisensory teaching, reinforcement of neuroplasticity, and restorative pedagogical approaches. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, particularly related to the limited neuroscience literacy among teachers and the lack of structured training programs. This study recommends the systematic integration of neuroeducation concepts into teacher education curricula and national education policy.
