Abstract

Baselang nugal adalah salah satu ritual adat yang berasal dari Provinsi Jambi, yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan bertani, khususnya membuka lahan untuk menugal atau menanam padi. Baselang nugal ini merupakan ritual tradisional yang diwariskan secara turun temurun dan memiliki makna mendalam di kehidupan sosial dan budaya masyarakat setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami peran dan pelaksanaan baselang nugal dalam upaya menjaga tradisi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif pendekatan etnografi dengan metode wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, yang melibatkan tokoh adat sebagai sumber informasi utama. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan pada era modernisasi, masyarakat Jambi tetap berupaya menjaga keaslian dan kelestarian tradisi ini sebagai warisan budaya. Studi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya pelaksanaan baselang nugal dalam memperkuat hubungan sosial masyarakat dan upaya menjaga tradisi budaya lokal.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile strengthening project in developing students' intrapersonal intelligence in elementary schools. The development process of intrapersonal intelligence is an important and fundamental capability as a reinforcement of students' character education. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach at SD Negeri 167/I Bulian Baru during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. Research data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews (as primary data), observation, and documentation study (as supporting data). The collected data was then analyzed and validated using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile strengthening project at SD Negeri 167/I Bulian Baru was able to develop students' intrapersonal intelligence comprehensively through four stages: introduction, contextualization, real action, and reflection and follow-up, impacting the development of students' intrapersonal intelligence including the ability to understand oneself, manage emotions, self-reflect, make decisions, and adapt during the P5 program. The development process of students' intrapersonal intelligence was evident through various achievement indicators including increased self-awareness in environmental care, ability to manage emotions when working in groups, ability to reflect on behavioral impacts on the environment, responsible decision-making in waste management, and ability to adapt to changing habits towards sustainable lifestyles. From the research results, it can be concluded that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) contributes to the formation of environmental care character and significantly supports the development of intrapersonal intelligence aspects that are important for students' holistic development.

Abstract

The low level of students' understanding in learning mathematics is caused by the assumption held by most students that mathematics is a difficult and boring subject. This diminishes students' motivation to learn, leading to the suggestion that mathematics is a subject to be avoided. This challenge serves as the foundation for the writing of this academic work. Through this research, it is hoped that we can identify the challenges in early math education, particularly in mathematics, and propose efforts to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics, especially in the third grade of Elementary School. This study is conducted using a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection aims to adjust and obtain information about the factors that make it difficult for students to grasp mathematical concepts. The research results indicate that students' difficulties in learning mathematics consist of three components: difficulty in understanding concepts, difficulty in skills, and difficulty in problem-solving. The factors causing difficulties in learning mathematics originate from both internal and external factors. Based on these factors, efforts that can be made to reduce difficulties in learning mathematics include teaching math in an enjoyable way, using tangible learning media, increasing practice exercises, and establishing cooperation with students' parents.
