Abstract

Teaching network communication has become an important competency in the digital era, especially for students in technology fields and prospective educators. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the flipped classroom method in enhancing conceptual understanding and student engagement in the course of Network Communication. The research employs a quasi-experimental design involving 60 fourth-semester students from the Computer Engineering study program at a private university in Indonesia. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, observation of student activities, and a classroom engagement questionnaire. The results show that the level of learning completeness increased from 5.00% in the pretest to 66.67% in the posttest after the implementation of the flipped classroom method. In addition, 83.33% of students were classified as fairly active and 15.00% active during the learning process. This improvement in learning outcomes and activity indicates that the flipped classroom method has a positive impact on student engagement and understanding. This approach not only strengthens digital literacy and independent learning, but also encourages the creation of active, interactive, and humanistic learning.

Abstract

Mitos memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku sosial dan moral masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran mitos dalam pendidikan masyarakat di Flores, Lombok Barat, dan Lombok Utara, serta menggali potensi mitos sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan berbagai tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, dan pemuka adat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mitos, seperti larangan keluar pada waktu maghrib dan larangan makan di depan pintu, memiliki dampak signifikan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan disiplin pada masyarakat. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa mitos-mitos tersebut berperan dalam mengajarkan etika, menjaga keselamatan, dan menghormati waktu. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada penghubungan mitos dengan teori pendidikan, seperti behavioristik dan konstruktivisme, yang menunjukkan bahwa mitos dapat menjadi media efektif dalam membentuk perilaku dan karakter positif. Dengan demikian, mitos dapat diintegrasikan dalam pendidikan formal dan non-formal untuk memperkuat pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai budaya lokal

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using technology-based tutorial videos and teaching modules on improving the basic skills of students in the mechanical engineering program at SMK 3 Mataram. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted at SMK 3 Mataram with subjects from class X majoring in Mechanical Engineering, which is divided into two classes: Class X TPM (machining engineering) and Class X TPL (welding engineering), with data collection techniques gathered through pretests and posttests to measure the effect of the learning results before and after the treatment. Test results indicate that students who use video tutorials tend to achieve higher scores compared to those who only use teaching modules. This is because video tutorials are able to present material visually and auditorily, making it easier for students to understand abstract concepts and complex practical procedures.

Abstract

Software testing learning, particularly white-box testing, is an important competency in Information Technology Education, but it remains a challenge for students because it requires an understanding of complex program logic. Difficulties arise mainly in the material on testing program control structures, such as looping and condition branches. This study aims to analyse the application of the collaborative learning method in white-box testing learning in this material. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design involving students from the Information Technology Education Study Programme. Data were collected through observation of the learning process, analysis of group assignment results, and student reflections. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the application of collaborative learning can improve students' conceptual understanding, program logic analysis skills, and cooperation skills in solving source code testing problems. In addition, students showed increased activity in discussions and the ability to explain program logic flows systematically. Thus, the collaborative learning method is effective in white-box testing learning, especially in looping and condition branch material.
