Abstract

Public relations management plays a strategic role in building and maintaining a positive image and improving the performance of educational institutions in the midst of evolving social dynamics. This article aims to analyze the public relations strategies that can be effectively implemented, the challenges faced in their implementation, and the long-term implications for the reputation and sustainability of educational institutions. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach and literature study, it is found that well-managed public relations can strengthen internal and external communication, build public trust, and support the achievement of the institution's vision and mission. However, challenges such as limited resources, internal resistance, and changes in communication technology demand continuous adaptation and innovation. The implications of effective public relations management not only impact on public perception, but also on increasing participation, the quality of education services and the competitiveness of the institution. Therefore, strengthening the capacity of public relations is one of the strategic keys in the management of modern educational institutions.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to evaluate the usability of digital learning media developed using Google Sites through a systematic and standardized measurement approach. The main focus is to identify whether the media is easy to use, engaging, and acceptable from the users’ perspective. Methodology: This study employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, combined with a literature review of related studies. The SUS questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection, while scoring and analysis were performed with standardized calculation procedures to evaluate usability outcomes. Main Findings: The results showed that the digital learning media developed with Google Sites achieved an average SUS score of 79. This score falls into the “Good” category, equivalent to a grade scale of C, and is classified as “acceptable.” Users demonstrated positive perceptions regarding its usability, indicating effectiveness while also highlighting the need for further development. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides new insights into usability evaluation of Google Sites as a digital learning medium using the SUS method. It contributes by highlighting practical user perceptions and offering evidence-based recommendations for further improvement, thereby expanding knowledge about effective integration of accessible online platforms in education.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation in education has triggered a moral crisis characterized by rising intolerance, cyberbullying, and a decline in digital ethics. While technology offers educational benefits, it often lacks the moral scaffolding necessary for character development. This study aims to bridge the gap between local cultural values and digital education by examining the Gapura Pancawaluya model. It seeks to formulate how Sundanese local wisdom can be operationalized as a pedagogical framework for fostering digital citizenship. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a systematic literature review design. Data were collected from academic documents published between 2015–2025, selected through purposive sampling based on keywords related to ethnopedagogy and digital ethics. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques: reduction, display, and verification. The findings demonstrate that Gapura Pancawaluya transforms abstract cultural values into five applicable digital competencies: Cageur (Digital Wellbeing), Bageur (Digital Ethics), Bener (Information Literacy), Pinter (Critical Thinking), and Singer (Digital Resilience). This integration supports the realization of Manusa Waluya—a holistic human being aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. The study concludes that Gapura Pancawaluya is not merely a traditional artifact but an adaptive framework essential for strengthening character education in the digital era.
