Abstract

The level of student engagement within the school environment plays a crucial role in supporting effective learning implementation. Effective learning is expected to assist students in achieving educational goals, which include the development of self-awareness, spiritual and religious strength, intelligence, personality and good character, as well as essential life skills for both the individual and society. This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic religiosity and teacher support on student engagement among 11th grade students at MAN 4 Cirebon. This research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 175 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using the Student Engagement Scale (SES), the Islamic Religiosity Scale, and the Teacher Support Scale for Secondary School (TSSSS). The results of the data analysis showed that Islamic religiosity significantly influences student engagement, teacher support significantly influences student engagement, and both Islamic religiosity and teacher support jointly influence student engagement. The R Square value of 0.411 indicates that Islamic religiosity and teacher support contribute 41.1% to student engagement, while the remaining 58.9% is influenced by other unexamined factors.

Abstract

Suboptimal employee performance remains a major issue at PT Samasta Boga Indonesia. This condition is suspected to be affected by low work motivation and unfavorable perceptions of compensation. This study adopted a quantitative approach using total sampling, involving 130 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results indicate that work motivation has a significant effect on performance (p 0.05), contributing 9.1%, and compensation perception also has a significant effect (p 0.05), contributing 17%. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect employee performance (F = 16.288; R = 0.204), meaning that together, work motivation and compensation perception contribute 20.4% to employee performance. The findings confirm that work motivation and compensation perception play crucial roles in improving employee performance. Therefore, company management should optimize these factors as part of their strategy to enhance productivity.

Abstract

Students from outside the island of Java tend to choose universities located on Java Island. Various factors underlie this choice, such as the quality of education, accreditation, and the desire to explore new experiences in unfamiliar places. This study aimed to examine the effect of loneliness and academic stress on the psychological well-being of students from outside Java studying in Purwokerto. The study utilized a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression approach. The sample consisted of 334 students from outside Java who were currently pursuing higher education in Purwokerto. The analysis results discovered that H1 was accepted, with an F-value of 159.365 and a significance level of 0.000, which was less than 0.05, indicating that loneliness contributed a significant effect on psychological well-being. H2 was accepted, with an F-value of 304.177 and a significance level of 0.000, indicating that academic stress also significantly affected psychological well-being. H3 was accepted, with an F-value of 536.495 and a significance level of 0.000, showing that loneliness and academic stress simultaneously contributed a significant impact on psychological well-being. These findings highlight the importance of addressing both emotional and academic aspects in supporting the mental health of migrant students.
