Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 is one of the largest contributors to the world of health in non-communicable diseases in Indonesia. Many people are affected either because of genetic obesity or obesity due to food. Mathematical modeling is one way to visualize the development and spread of Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The model used in this study is S1S2E1E2I1I2T and its stability will be seen. The article discusses the stability of fixed points using the Jacobian matrix and the Routh-Hurwitz criteria as well as the Castilo-Chaves and Song Theorem, reproduction numbers, and their numerical analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: The behavior of prospective parents in choosing kindergartens is increasingly shifting towards the use of online media as the main source of information, without neglecting the influence of personal recommendations. This study aims to identify the segmentation of prospective parents based on their interests and behaviors in seeking information about schools, both through digital channels such as social media and the internet, and conventional channels such as verbal communication. The study was conducted at AL-FARIQ Kindergarten with data collection through structured interviews using Google Forms. Data were analyzed using K-Means and Rapid Miner software with cluster analysis methods to group respondents based on similarities in digital behavior. The research results are expected to produce a segmentation document that includes the profile of each segment and recommendations for more targeted digital promotion strategies. This research is at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) level 3 as an initial validation of the data-driven segmentation approach, and is expected to serve as the basis for the development of a more integrated digital promotion system in the future. Keywords: K-Means; Information Behavior; Prospective Parents; Promotion Strategy.

Abstract

Kencur hitam (Kaempferia paviflora Wall. Eksplan yang digunakan eksplan in vitro K. parviflora.

Abstract

Kaempferia parviflora Wall. ex Baker (Zingiberaceae), commonly known as black ginger, produces dark purple to black rhizomes rich in bioactive compounds. Conventional propagation of K. parviflora is constrained by limited planting material availability. This study evaluated the effectiveness of various cytokinins for in vitro shoot multiplication of K. parviflora. Nodal explants derived from sterile in vitro stock were cultured on Murashige & Skoog medium supplemented with one of seven treatments: P₀ (no cytokinin), P₁ (1 mg L⁻¹ BAP), P₂ (2 mg L⁻¹ BAP), P₃ (1 mg L⁻¹ kinetin), P₄ (2 mg L⁻¹ kinetin), P₅ (1 mg L⁻¹ TDZ), or P₆ (2 mg L⁻¹ TDZ), with ten replicates per treatment. Parameters recorded after eight weeks included explant survival percentage, shoot number, leaf number, and shoot length. Explant survival averaged 94 % across treatments. Treatment P₆ (2 mg L⁻¹ TDZ) yielded the highest mean shoot number (4.9 ± 2.6 shoots) and leaf number (9.3 ± 2.2 leaves) per explant. The superior performance of low‑concentration TDZ compared to BAP and kinetin shows its high efficacy in promoting cytokinin‑mediated shoot proliferation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning interest of An-Nahlu Kisaran Junior High School students in Natural Sciences (IPA). This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research population consisted of all 144 students in grades VII and VIII (5 classes). Data was obtained through a closed questionnaire that measured aspects of learning interest, including feelings of enjoyment, interest, attention, and student participation in science learning. The results of the study show that the majority of students have a good interest in learning, with an average score of 166.0. The results show that 11% (9 students) are very interested, 38% (31 students) are interested, 30% (25 students) are quite interested, 16% (13 students) are less interested, and only 5% (4 students) are not interested in science subjects. Based on gender, there was no difference between the two. Male and female students had the same level of interest in science subjects. Internal factors, such as motivation, curiosity, and attention, as well as external factors, such as support from family, school, and environment, influenced students' level of interest in learning. From the results of this study, it can be said that the learning environment at SMP An Nahlu has supported the development of students' interest in science subjects.
