Abstract

This study aims to examine how digital da'wah innovation through Instagram can improve the understanding of Islamic values among students at Dormitory I of Ngalah Islamic Boarding School. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, allowing the researcher to explore the phenomenon in depth and context. The primary focus is on how social media, particularly Instagram, can be used as an effective means of conveying Islamic da'wah messages. The results show that digital da'wah, packaged creatively, communicatively, and relevant to the lifestyles of Generation Z, is able to attract the attention of students. Through visual content such as infographics, short videos, hadith quotations, and short studies, Instagram becomes a da'wah medium that is not only informative but also interactive and easily accessible. This approach has proven effective in instilling values of faith, worship, and noble morals in students in their daily lives. Factors supporting the success of this digital da'wah include easy access to media, creativity in developing da'wah content, and the active involvement of students in producing and disseminating that content. However, there are also a number of obstacles, such as low digital literacy among some preachers and limited control over circulating content. Overall, digital preaching through Instagram is considered a relevant and adaptive strategy to support modern Islamic boarding school education that is responsive to current developments. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana inovasi dakwah digital melalui media sosial Instagram dapat meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai Islam di kalangan mahasantri Asrama I Pondok Pesantren Ngalah. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sehingga memungkinkan peneliti untuk menggali fenomena secara mendalam dan kontekstual. Fokus utama terletak pada bagaimana media sosial, khususnya Instagram, dapat dijadikan sarana yang efektif dalam penyampaian pesan-pesan dakwah Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dakwah digital yang dikemas secara kreatif, komunikatif, dan relevan dengan gaya hidup generasi Z mampu menarik perhatian mahasantri. Melalui konten visual seperti infografis, video pendek, kutipan hadits, dan kajian singkat, Instagram menjadi media dakwah yang tidak hanya informatif, tetapi juga interaktif dan mudah diakses. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keimanan, ibadah, serta akhlak mulia kepada para mahasantri dalam keseharian mereka. Adapun faktor pendukung keberhasilan dakwah digital ini mencakup kemudahan akses terhadap media, kreativitas dalam menyusun konten dakwah, serta keterlibatan aktif mahasantri dalam memproduksi dan menyebarkan konten tersebut. Namun demikian, terdapat pula sejumlah hambatan seperti masih rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan sebagian da’i dan keterbatasan kontrol terhadap konten yang beredar. Secara keseluruhan, dakwah digital melalui Instagram dinilai sebagai strategi yang relevan dan adaptif dalam mendukung pendidikan pesantren yang modern dan responsif terhadap perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the implementation of multicultural values within Islamic education in Indonesia, Jordan, and Turkey. The research employs a comparative literature review using content analysis of academic sources, government policies, and curriculum documents. The findings indicate that all three countries emphasize religious moderation, tolerance, justice, and dialogue as key foundations of Islamic education, yet each implements these values according to its socio-political context. Indonesia highlights multiculturalism grounded in ethnic diversity and pesantren tradition, Jordan focuses on religious moderation and counter-extremism, while Turkey balances Islamic ethics with nationalism within its secular educational framework. Specific findings reveal differences in curriculum structure, institutional models, and social orientations. The study implies that Indonesia must strengthen systematic multicultural education policies, enhance teacher training, and optimize the role of pesantren and schools as key environments for developing inclusive and moderate learners.
