Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the meaning and experience of communicators and audiences in internalizing and applying ethos, pathos, and logos as basic elements of rhetoric in public communication in Indonesia. Thematic data analysis showed that communicator credibility (ethos), emotional management (pathos), and logical argumentation (logos) complement each other in building persuasive and meaningful communication. The findings confirm the importance of balancing the three rhetorical elements for effective public communication and enrich the theoretical understanding and practice of strategic communication in Indonesia. Further research is recommended to explore the dynamics of rhetoric in digital and cross-cultural communication. Keywords : Rhetoric, Ethos, Pathos, Logos, Public communication.

Abstract

Penilaian prestasi kerja pada dasarnya adalah suatu dasar atau landasan madrasah maupun sekolah demi membuat keputusan pengembangan dalam promosi dan karir guru, tenaga pendidik dan Lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mengerti terkait perencanaan, pelaksanaan penilaian prestasi kinerja dan bagaimana evaluasi penilaian prestasi kinerja di MAN 3 Bogor. Penerapan metode dalam penelitian ini melalui deskriptif kualitatif. Kepala Madrasah memiliki kewenangan dalam memberikan penilaian terhadap guru atau tenaga pendidik sesuai dengan kompetensi PKG dan empat kompetensi dalam membentuk pribadi guru supaya bersikap selayaknya guru yang profesional, yaitu kompetensi pendagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Manfaat dari PKG yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya dengan mengukur penguasaan keterampilan dan kompetensinya. Penilaian memiliki banyak manfaat, seperti digunakan sebagai alat dalam pengambilan keputusan. Oleh sebab itu, perlu diadakannya penilaian kinerja guru untuk bahan masukan membuat susunan rencana pengembangan keprofesian selanjutnya, meningkatakan, dan mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh guru dan tenaga pendidik. Kata Kunci: Guru, Kinerja, Penilaian.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing interest of modern young people in religious practices through digital spaces, particularly in the context of changing patterns of religious interaction from physical spaces to social media-based platforms. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the concept of cyber religion applied in the Shift Community triggers a transformation of religious practices from traditional hierarchical models to digital religiosity that is aesthetic, participatory, and adaptive to media culture. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis techniques through case studies, observations of digital content, and a literature review on the mediatization of religion and the Uses and Gratifications theory. The results of the study indicate that da'wah has shifted from a one-way lecture model to an emotional visual narrative that is creatively packaged and easily accepted by the younger generation, accompanied by active participation of digital congregations through collaborative content reproduction and distribution. The findings also indicate a shift in religious authority from a central figure to the distribution of meaning through community interactions, as well as the formation of religious identities based on personal branding and spiritual practices influenced by social media algorithms. The implications of the study emphasize that digitalization can expand the reach of da'wah and create new spiritual experiences, but strengthening digital literacy and da'wah ethics is still necessary to avoid the commercialization of religion and the reduction of the meaning of spirituality.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing importance of moderate religious communication as a diplomatic strategy to address rising global conflicts, particularly the Israel–Palestine issue. It aims to analyze how moderate religious communication was employed by President Prabowo Subianto in his speech at the 2025 United Nations General Assembly as an instrument of Indonesia’s diplomacy in supporting peaceful solutions. The research applies a qualitative approach using diplomatic discourse analysis, examining the verbal messages, symbolic expressions, and humanitarian values conveyed in the speech. The findings show that Prabowo applied a moderate communication strategy using simple and peaceful language, interfaith greetings, and an emphasis on universal humanitarian values that position all humankind as one global family. The main results highlight that religious moderation serves as a foundation of Indonesia’s diplomacy, reflected in the rejection of extremism, support for the two-state solution, and calls to build global solidarity based on justice and human dignity. This approach strengthens Indonesia’s position as a credible mediator in the Palestine issue by promoting tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and non-violent values. The study implies that moderate religious communication can serve as an effective diplomatic model for multicultural countries in reducing international conflict, building global trust, and reinforcing Indonesia’s soft power in the modern geopolitical landscape.
