Abstract

The development of MSMEs in the culinary sector is a strategic step that plays a significant role in improving the welfare of the people in Sampang City. This research was conducted using an interactive qualitative approach. While the selection of informants was carried out using a purposeful sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the development strategy that can be implemented by culinary MSMEs is the MSME Development Strategy for the culinary sector through product innovation, collaboration and partnerships, and customer experience. Through this strategy, the role of MSME development on welfare can be seen from increased income, labor absorption, improved quality of life, sending children to higher education, economic stability, and self-development. This strategy is important so that culinary MSME actors can survive and thrive in the long term, so that it can be implemented and improve the welfare of the people in Sampang City.

Abstract

The rapid development of this technology not only provides benefits for its users and gives rise to crime cases (cybercrime). Many cases of crime occur in cyberspace, which is currently busy. It is important to understand internet security to identify possible threats and learn how to overcome them. This activity was carried out at SMA Darussyahid Sampang to give students a sense of awareness of the dangers of crime in cyberspace. The methods used in this community service are surveys, lectures, and discussions. It is hoped that this socialization will open up teenage students to understand how to secure personal data on virtual media. This community service provides benefits both for service partners or participants and for service members, including increasing knowledge regarding the dangers of cybercrime in cyberspace so that students are more careful when using social media, keeping the data safer from the dangers of cybercrime; after participating in the training, participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the implementation.

Abstract

Starting an entrepreneur must be considered, especially for teenagers in the industrial era 4.0. At Darus Syahid High School, Sampang, the cultivation of entrepreneurship is still not optimal; there are no entrepreneurship subjects in the learning process. This service aims to increase insight and motivate Darus Syahid Sampang High School students about starting entrepreneurship and to make it easier for students to carry out low-fund-based businesses that are effective and efficient for the needs of teenagers and even adults who want to start a business. The methods used in this community service are surveys, lectures, and discussions. This socialization will likely motivate teenage students to start entrepreneurship. This community service benefits both partners and participants (students), namely, increasing knowledge about entrepreneurship, success factors in entrepreneurship, and starting and maintaining a business. After attending the training, participants expressed high satisfaction with the implementation.

Abstract

Poverty is a very complex social problem and one of the main problems faced by the Indonesian nation. This study aims to determine the effect of Unemployment, Education, Economic Growth (GDP), and the Human Development Index on Poverty in Indonesia. The quantitative research method uses panel data analysis with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia. This study shows that unemployment and education do not affect poverty in Indonesia. The health variable shows that health affects poverty in Indonesia. The GDP variable shows the effect on poverty in Indonesia. The HDI variable shows the effect on poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of corporate social responsibility and GCG (good corporate governance) on tax aggressiveness. The dependent variable used in this study is aggressive tax planning, which is measured using ETR (effective tax rates). The independent variables in this study are corporate social responsibility and GCG (managerial ownership, audit committee, and audit quality). This study is based on a sample of 110 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012–2016. The study sample was selected by purposive sampling and obtained from 22 companies per year that fulfill the criteria. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that CSR, managerial ownership, and audit quality do not affect the action of aggressive tax. Meanwhile, the audit committee shows the existence of influence on the activity of aggressive tax.

Abstract

Product promotion is important by utilizing customer opinion to help choose products. A cafe is a place that many people visit, so it requires product promotion. Knowing the types of products that are often purchased can be used to determine what products are suitable to be promoted to customers. Therefore, it requires a method used for product promotion using association rules using support and confidence parameters. The results obtained are: If customer support for buying onion rings is 18%, then the confidence in latte americano is 60%. If customer support for buying onion rings is 25%, then orange juice confidence is 80%. If customer support for buying an iced latte is 13%, then confidence in onion rings is 66%. If customer support for buying onion rings and latte americano is 13%, then the confidence in orange juice is 67%. If customer support for buying onion rings and latte americano is 13%, then confidence in an iced latte is 67%.
