Abstract

Based on data from the Global Tuberculosis Report 2020, it is known that 1.4 million people died from tuberculosis. Indonesia is ranked third in the world with 845,000 cases. It is estimated that as many as 24,000 cases of drug-resistant tuberculosis each year, known as Multi Drug Resistant (MDR). An initial survey conducted in the work area of the UPT Puskesmas Tanjung Morawa found that the complete treatment rate for all tuberculosis cases was 60%. One of the indicators of the success of the TB eradication program is drug compliance, so research was conducted using descriptive methods with a cross-sectional approach to see the behavior of tuberculosis patients in efforts to adhere to taking medication. The results obtained in the form of a description of the level of knowledge, attitudes and actions of TB patients who have a high level of compliance in the respondents of this study.

Abstract

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a specific non-inflammatory disease, which occurs in the airways, parenchyma of lung, and pulmonary vessels. The processes leading to the development of COPD are heterogeneous. CRP is the result of the synthesis of acute phase proteins mainly by hepatocytes as response to tissue damage or inflammation. It is accepted where CRP-levels are associated with the existemce of airflow interference and are also associated with disease severity, exercise capacity, quality of life,  response to treatment and mortality. Methods: This study is a study using the literature study method or literature review. Data obtained from secondary data using documentation techniques. Data documentation is carried out based on journals related to research variables. Results: Based on a literature review study, there are 9 journals related to the relationship between smoking intensity and C-Reactive Protein levels to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Conclusion: After conducting a literature review process, it was found that there was a relationship between smoking intensity and C-reactive protein levels on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
