Abstract

The limited accessibility of information, technology, and public perception is an obstacle in developing the entrepreneurship of business actors with visual disabilities. Therefore, it is essential to explore communication strategies that can increase the involvement and independence of the visually impaired in the business world, especially the development of Al-Quran braille as part of literacy. This research aims to analyse self-efficacy and explore effective entrepreneurial communication strategies for the visually impaired, focusing on increasing their engagement and independence in business. Another goal is understanding the challenges the visually impaired face in business communication. This research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis of the visually impaired in entrepreneurship. This research resulted in a deeper understanding of self-efficacy and effective entrepreneurial communication strategies for the visually impaired. Positive self-efficacy can help determine the proper coping techniques to cope with the stress they are experiencing. In addition, this study found that effective communication strategies are essential to improve business independence for people with visual disabilities. These strategies include communicating positively, openly, and optimistically and emulating the spirit of achievement shown by friends with visual disabilities. The research provides practical guidance for the visually impaired who want to be involved in the business world and provides insight for business people and the general public to create an inclusive environment for the visually impaired in entrepreneurship in Al-Quran braille literacy.

Abstract

Indonesia menghadapi beban ganda masalah gizi anak, yaitu kekurangan gizi dan kelebihan gizi. Obesitas pada anak dikaitkan dengan risiko kesehatan serius seperti hipertensi, penyakit kardiovaskular, diabetes, dan kanker. Provinsi DKI Jakarta dan Banten merupakan wilayah dengan angka obesitas anak tertinggi, terutama pada populasi perkotaan dengan latar belakang ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Sebagai respons terhadap kondisi ini, Nutrifood, Yayasan Kejora Indonesia, dan Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia melaksanakan program edukasi #BatasiGulaGaramLemak di wilayah DKI Jakarta dan Tangerang Selatan. Program ini mencakup edukasi gizi bagi para ibu, kegiatan mendongeng, dan permainan untuk anak-anak, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesadaran akan pola makan sehat. Ibu rumah tangga menjadi sasaran utama karena mereka memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan konsumsi gizi keluarga. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga mengenai: kebutuhan gizi anak (15%), pola makan anak (5%), kandungan gizi dalam makanan (40%), prinsip makan pada usia dini (20%), contoh makanan bergizi (5%), fungsi zat gizi (20%), dampak kelebihan gula (5%), dan pencegahan kelebihan garam (3%).

Abstract

Not many orphanages provide proper skills training or effectively showcase the potential of their children to the public. Limited resources and lack of exposure often hinder the children's ability to grow and acquire knowledge beyond their environment. At the Media Kasih Foundation in Tangerang, the children are interested in expressing themselves through social media and digital broadcasting. However, they lack adequate skills, especially in public speaking and audio-visual content production. To address this, the Community Service Team from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Satya Negara Indonesia University (USNI) conducted a training program on digital broadcasting, vlogging, and online radio streaming. The program targets teenagers at junior high, senior high, and college levels, focusing on basic digital production techniques and the creation of creative, educational content. The outcome is video and audio content uploaded to platforms like YouTube and social radio apps such as Spoon.
