Abstract

Hukum dalam masyarakat berfokus pada masalah otoritas dan kontrol yang memungkinkan kehidupan kolektif manusia selalu berada dalam keadaan yang relatif tertib dan berketeraturan. Kekuatan kontrol dan otoritas pemerintah sebagai pengemban kekuasaan negara yang mendasari kontrol itulah yang terbentuk dalam suatu sistem aturan yang disebut dengan “Hukum”, atau disebut juga dengan istilah “Hukum Perundang-undangan nasional”. Hukum menciptakan sebuah mekanisme yang menerjemahkan kekuasaan komunikatif ke dalam kekuasaan administratif yang diamanahkan oleh pemegang trias politica. Keberadaan hukum tentunya juga tidak lepas dari adanya ruang publik yang dinaungi lingkup komunikasi berupa pendapat atau gagasan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan keteraturannya. Ruang publik pada dasarnya menghendaki masyarakat yang bebas di dalam wadah demokrasi dan politiknya, di satu sisi hukum secara hakiki melindungi kebebasan para anggota masyarakat. Sehingga kaitan hukum di dalam ruang publik adalah kembali mengacu pada tiga nilai dasar hukum, yaitu Kesamaan, Kebebasan, dan Solidaritas.

Abstract

Literary texts into one media aspirational for individuals to build her mind in addressing the reality she sees. As with any novel titled Pengakuan Eks Parasit Lajang by Ayu Utami raised in regard  feminism commodification of women in social, cultural and religious. Abstract

Television advertisement is still considered as audio-visual communication media that conveys the message with high effectiveness value resulting feed back to society. Therefore, television advertising should pay attention to aspects of advertising messages delivered to the audience. From the text of advertising version ‘Great Date’, there is a tendency for women’s position. Based on the results of research using Roland Barthes semiotics, it was found that the use of signifier and signified by seeing denotation and connotation meaning represent the nature of materialistic woman related to such items (guy's dream, flowers, romantic music, cool car and brown). Besides that, the portrayal of women in Beng-beng advertising is built as an object of marginalization deal with material view.Keywords: Advertising, representation, Semiotics

Abstract

Abstrak Wartawan sebagai insan pelaku media harus mampu untuk melihat situasi politik secara objektif dengan mengacu pada nilai-nilai berita dan kode etik yang berlaku. Tak banyak diketahui bahwa wartawan sendiri juga ikut bermain di balik catur perpolitikan pemerintah. Sehingga dalam hal ini wartawan pun juga menjadi bagian dalam pelaksanaan perolehan kekuasaan oleh pihak tertentu karena faktor kesejahteraan yang tidak diperoleh para kelompok pekerja pers dan mencari jalan pintas. Melalui Ruang Publik Kedai Kopi Perjoeangan, menjadi wadah bagi pekerja pers di Jakarta dalam membentuk suatu pergerakan politik dalam menuntut kesejahteraan pekerja bagi industri media massa. Namun pada pergerakan dilihat sebagai pergerakan proletariat namun di satu sisi sendiri identik dengan perjuangan kelompok pekerja pers dalam menuntut hak profesionalitas sebagai jurnalis.   AbstractJournalists as media actors must be able to objectively see the political situation by referring to the prevailing news values and ethical code. It is not known that journalists themselves also played behind government political chess. So in this case journalists also become part of the implementation of the acquisition of power by certain parties because of welfare factors that are not obtained by the press workers' groups and seek shortcuts. Through Kedai Kopi Perjoeangan Public Room, it is a place for press workers in Jakarta to form a political movement in demanding the welfare of workers for the mass media industry. But the movement is seen as a movement of the proletariat but on the one hand itself is identical with the struggle of the press workers' group in demanding the right of professionalism as a journalist.

Abstract

Abstrak Penindasan dan perenggutan terhadap perempuan dalam memperoleh keadilan bukanlah suatu fenomena baru, namun sudah menjadi fenomena lama yang terus menjadi kontroversi dan perbincangan di masyarakat umum. Hal tersebut digambarkan dalam film Three Billboard Ebbing, Missouri yang menjadi salah satu film kontroversi, namun di satu sisi sebagai salah satu film terbaik dalam penghargaan film internasional 2017 yang bercerita tentang perjuangan seorang ibu yang menuntut keadilan atas pembunuhan putrinya. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah adanya suatu kontradiksi, serta konflik terhadap pandangan aparat hukum sebagai pembentukan kapital dan dominasi kelas yang digambarkan dalam film tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seperti teori feminis dan kelompok. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengkaji film ini menggunakan metode analisis wacana dari model Fairclough. Pembahasan dalam penelitian terlihat bahwa representasi, relasi, dan identitas mengacu pada dominasi terhadap perempuan dari sisi perolehan hak keadilan secara hukum. Representasi feminis yang ditampilkan adalah feminis liberal, dengan ideologi feminis marxis yang memandang bahwa perempuan sebagai bagian proletariat dan upaya pembentukan terhadap emasinasi proletariat perempuan dalam memperoleh hak atas kesetaraan gender serta keberpihakan hukum.      Kata Kunci: Film, Penindasan, Feminisme Abstract The oppression and grasping of women in obtaining justice is not a new phenomenon, but it has become an old phenomenon that continues to be controversial and conversation in the general public. It is portrayed in the film Three Billboard Ebbing, Missouri which is one of the controversial films, but on the one hand as one of the best films in the international film award 2017 which tells the story of a mother's struggle demanding justice for the murder of her daughter. The issues raised are the existence of a contradiction, as well as the conflict on the views of the legal apparatus as the formation of capital and the dominance of the classes depicted in the film. The theory used in this research is like feminist and group theory. The method used to study the film uses discourse analysis methods from the Fairclough model. The discussion in the research shows that the representation, relation, and identity refers to the domination of women from the side of the acquisition of legal right of justice. The feminist representation presented is a liberal feminist, with a feminist Marxist ideology which views women as part of the proletariat and the establishment of the golden proletariat of women in obtaining the right to gender equality and legal sanction. Key Word: Movie, Oppression, Feminism.

Abstract

Information and communication technology play an important role in the development of communication, one of which is the utilization of the online shop platform, to fulfill the desire for a hedonistic lifestyle. The changes in lifestyle focus on seeking unlimited pleasure and satisfaction. Life accentuation assumes that a person will feel happy by seeking happiness and avoiding feelings of pain, disappointment, and sadness. The research objective was to compare Jakarta and Moscow adolescents' cognitive dissonance and hedonism behavior. The comparative descriptive quantitative research method was used on 101 Moscow teenage respondents and 102 Jakarta respondents using cognitive dissonance theory and behavioral theory. The results were (1) ‘Looking for unlimited pleasure and satisfaction’ is ‘often’ (54.10%) by Jakarta teenagers, higher than Moscow teenagers (only 39.40%), and ‘sometimes’ (52.10%). (2) The dimension of ‘seeking as much happiness as possible and avoiding painful feelings’, Jakarta teenagers are 45.90% while Moscow teenagers are 36.60%, and ‘sometimes’ (56.30%). (3). For the dimensions of ‘seeking happiness symbolically’, Jakarta teenagers are more ‘often’ (53.10%) than Moscow teenagers (36.60%) and ‘sometimes’ (52.10%). (4) In the dimension of ‘pleasure is the most important thing in life’ there are differences between teenagers in Moscow and teenagers in Jakarta (54.10%) and Moscow teenagers are ‘often’ (63.40%) lower and ‘sometimes’ tend to behave hedonistically (63.40%).

Abstract

The issue of extending the President's term of office to three terms has become very strong along with the issue of postponing the 2024 Election circulating in the community, which has then invited controversy in society and also massive coverage in the mass media, including hot discussions on social media. The media has a big role to influence public attitudes. So, through the Inoculation theory, we attempt to examine explanatively the issue of extending the presidential term of office in the media on public attitudes using a quantitative approach. Based on the research results, it shows that there is an influence between the issue of extending the President's term of office and postponing the 2024 Election on public attitudes which show disapproval of these two issues. The public believes that extending the presidential term of office and postponing elections is a violation of the constitution and also creates a sense of distrust among respondents towards the current government. Apart from that, respondents also linked the two issues circulating in the mass media and online media to the interests of IKN and also considered that the government was not functioning well in accordance with the mandate of the constitution.

Abstract

The campaign narrative for the dissolution of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) invited many comments from netizens on social media to develop into a digital social movement to urge the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to be dissolved because one of its members was arrested by the police regarding the issue of terrorism. This news had become a trending topic on Twitter and threatened the existence of MUI as a forum for Islamic community organizations in Indonesia. To analyze these problems, researchers used the Network Society theory with a quantitative approach and the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method to analyze it. This study aims to analyze actors’ conversations in voicing new social movements through the #BubaranMUI hashtag. Through the spread of a communication network on the hashtag #BubarkanMUI, it was found to be an effort of a digital social movement that was echoed by political actors through a single Twitter account as well as building fake accounts as alter egos for intermediaries and network close relations to spread negative comments about MUI and spread communication networks as a public call through media atwitter and gain support from Twitter users to disband the MUI.

Abstract

Community service activities with the theme of political education targeting youth in Handil Bakti Urban Village as target groups in the form of socialization. This service activity is included in the direct political socialization theme like the development of Indonesia politics, media and politics and political communication because the evolution of Indonesian political campaign nowadays. Survey and socialising are the two steps of this service's implementation. The survey was conducted to learn more about the target group's perceptions of political engagement, and the socialisation process sought to improve political literacy and raise awareness of young people's responsibilities as citizens. Because political engagement is one of the key indicators of democracy and is crucial to renewing a nation's democratic spirit, the goal of this political education is to increase both the quantity and quality of involvement in the election cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the success of Shopee's digital communication strategy in responding to the lifestyle of urban Muslims in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this study are documents and information related to Shopee's digital communication strategy, such as advertising campaigns, promotional materials, and company publications. In addition, secondary data obtained from literature studies and previous research relevant to the research topic are also used. The data collection techniques used in this study were literature studies and library research. Data analysis is done by digging deeply into the information in related documents and literature. Based on the discussion points, this study concludes that Shopee's communication strategy has proven to be very relevant and effective in influencing Indonesia's urban Muslim middle class. By considering the cultural elements, religious values, and online behavior typical of this demographic, Shopee created strong relationships with Muslim consumers, increased engagement, and strengthened its brand image as an e-commerce platform responsive to cultural needs and preferences. The communication theories identified, such as symbolic interaction theory and cultural approaches in organizational communication, can provide valuable insights into how Shopee understands and responds to the social and cultural dynamics of the Muslim middle class. By paying attention to these factors, Shopee can continue to develop communication strategies that are more effective and relevant in meeting the needs and desires of Muslim consumers.
