The primary objective of this community service program is to support academic success and improve student well-being through effective mentoring. The training was conducted using an integrated approach. Core activities included the preparation of training materials and media, active listening practice, counseling simulations, workshops on student mental health issues, panel discussions with professional counselors, and the use of questionnaires to identify student needs. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the program were conducted to ensure its effectiveness and continuity. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and practical skills of academic advisors. The average participant knowledge score increased from 60% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test (a 25-point increase; p < 0.05). Furthermore, practical counseling skills, as measured by simulation observations, increased from 55% to 80%. Student satisfaction surveys with academic and emotional mentoring also saw a 30% increase, with 75% of students reporting feeling more heard and receiving adequate support, up from 45% before the training. The training also strengthened collaboration between instructors and students, with 80% of instructors reporting increased communication frequency and student active participation in mentoring sessions by 40%.

Desa Nunsaen di Kabupaten Kupang memiliki potensi unggulan dalam pengembangan produk herbal berbasis jahe, kunyit, dan temulawak. Namun, masyarakat setempat masih dominan bergantung pada pertanian tradisional dengan nilai tambah rendah, keterbatasan sarana produksi, ketiadaan legalitas, serta kurangnya pemanfaatan media digital untuk pemasaran, sehingga produk lokal belum memiliki daya saing yang kuat. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan produksi, memperkuat pengelolaan usaha, memfasilitasi legalitas produk, serta mendorong pemasaran digital sebagai strategi pemberdayaan berbasis potensi lokal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui observasi lapangan, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi tepat guna, pendampingan intensif, dan pembentukan 20 kelompok usaha. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan, ditandai dengan lahirnya produk unggulan Kopi Jahe Nunsaen dan Jahe Merah Instan Nunsaen yang memiliki mutu terstandarisasi, kapasitas produksi lebih dari 200 kg per bulan, serta desain kemasan higienis dan menarik. Produk-produk tersebut juga telah memperoleh izin edar PIRT/BPOM dan mulai dipasarkan melalui platform digital, yang memperluas jangkauan hingga tingkat nasional. Program ini berkontribusi dalam peningkatan keterampilan, pendapatan, dan peluang kewirausahaan masyarakat sekaligus melahirkan model pemberdayaan holistik melalui integrasi produksi, kemasan, legalitas, dan digitalisasi. Kebaruan program ini terletak pada pendekatan komprehensif yang berbeda dari kegiatan serupa yang umumnya hanya fokus pada pelatihan teknis produksi. Dengan demikian, program ini dapat dijadikan prototipe pemberdayaan desa berkelanjutan yang selaras dengan pencapaian SDG 8 dan SDG 12.

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and attacks the human immune system. The most common signs and symptoms are fever, cough, shortness of breath, or dyspnea. One way that can be done by the community is by using materials from nature or medicinal plants. The utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) has a positive impact on the immune system to prevent transmission of Covid-19. Community service activities are carried out through face-to-face outreach on Monday, 8 August 2022 at the Aisyiyah Orphanage, Kupang City. The application of using TOGA is expected to be able to support orphans in terms of health, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic in increasing/maintaining body immunity. Evaluation of the understanding of socialization participants is carried out by holding a short quiz at the beginning and end of the activity. The increased enthusiasm of participants in answering quizzes at the end of the activity showed an increase in knowledge regarding the use of family medicinal plants (TOGA) to increase endurance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Participants who successfully answered the quiz at the end of the activity were given a gift package as a form of appreciation for their seriousness in participating in this activity

Rabies is a fatal zoonotic disease that remains a public health problem in East Nusa Tenggara Province, including Kupang City. Elementary school-aged children are a vulnerable group to bites from Rabies-Transmitting Animals (HPR) due to limited knowledge and risky behavior when interacting with animals. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding and awareness of the dangers of rabies, its transmission, prevention, and first-aid steps after a bite through a learning-by-play approach. The activity was carried out in October 2025 at SDN Nunbaun Sabu, Kupang City, involving approximately 100 students. The methods used included interactive counseling, educational video screenings, educational games, and a 15-minute simulation of emergency wound washing using soap and running water. Evaluation was carried out through participatory observation and structured question-and-answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the dangers of rabies and basic preventive measures. The game-based educational approach has proven effective in conveying health messages and has the potential to shape children into rabies education agents within the family and community.

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, kualitas, dan nilai tambah rumput laut melalui penerapan inovasi budidaya terkendali dan teknik pengeringan presisi pada masyarakat pesisir di Desa Akle, Kecamatan Semau Selatan, Kabupaten Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi penggunaan metode budidaya tradisional, proses pascapanen yang tidak higienis sehingga kualitas karagenan belum memenuhi standar farmasetis, serta keterbatasan manajemen usaha dan diversifikasi produk. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis dan manajerial, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan intensif, serta monitoring dan evaluasi berkala. Teknologi yang diterapkan meliputi penggunaan kapal fiberglass sebagai alat bantu produksi dan sistem pengeringan presisi berbasis jaring dan rumah pengering. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan produktivitas rumput laut minimal 30%, penurunan kadar air hingga di bawah 12%, peningkatan kualitas produk sesuai standar pasar, serta terbentuknya produk olahan bernilai tambah oleh kelompok masyarakat. Selain itu, terjadi penguatan kelembagaan, peningkatan kapasitas manajerial, serta perluasan akses pasar. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir dan penguatan ekonomi lokal berbasis sumber daya laut.

Purpose: To improve production efficiency and quality of dodol (sweet potato cracker), crackers, and seaweed sticks at the IRT Aisyiah Alak Kupang household through the adoption of innovative mixers and cutting machines. Methodology/Approach: The study was conducted at the IRT Aisyiah Alak Kupang with mixers and cutting machines sourced from Maksindo Surabaya. Methods included field surveys, machine operation training, technical assistance, and production evaluation. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively using simple production analysis software and the participatory rural appraisal approach. Results/Findings: Dodol production capacity increased from 3 kg to 6 kg per week, and crackers and seaweed sticks from 2 kg to 4 kg per week, respectively. Production time decreased by about 50%, partner income doubled, and marketing reach expanded through digital platforms and branding development. Conclusions: The community empowerment program at IRT Aisyiah Alak Kupang successfully enhanced efficiency, capacity, and quality of dodol and seaweed sticks. The implementation of mixing and cutting machines, together with digital marketing, improved partner income and business sustainability. Ongoing mentoring is provided, and the development of supporting equipment, such as modern drying tools, is recommended for further study to strengthen program outcomes. Limitations: Testing was limited to a single partner location and did not extensively explore various machine types or digital marketing techniques. Contributions: The study contributes to the development of appropriate technology for local food processing, particularly in the seaweed industry of East Nusa Tenggara, and strengthens community economic empowerment while preserving local wisdom.

Methodology/approach: A participatory approach is implemented through training on VCO fermentation technology, mentoring on the use of appropriate tools, and regular implementation evaluations. The implementation team, comprising lecturers and students, collaborates directly with the partner community to transfer technology and monitor production outcomes. Results/findings: The community service program demonstrated an increase in production capacity, from 10–13 bottles per day to 20–25 bottles in 100 mL packaging, as well as improved product quality, resulting in a more hygienic and high-quality product. The product has obtained a P-IRT label and permit, and marketing has begun to expand, contributing to increased income and welfare for the local community. Conclutions: Community partnerships through appropriate technology and training have successfully improved the quality and production capacity of Virgin Coconut Oil in Ingguinak Village, increased family income, strengthened local business institutions, and expanded market access with more competitive and hygienic products. Limitations: The limited time for implementation means that ongoing support is still very much needed. Limited access to logistics and infrastructure in remote areas means that product distribution is not yet optimal. Contribution: This Program provides tangible socio-economic impacts for coconut farming communities. This program's recommendations can serve as a reference for developing broader community service policies and practices, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening local natural resource-based community economies.
