Abstract

Divorce in Indonesia, including in Muaro Jambi Regency, continues to show a high rate and produces significant social consequences. Mediation in religious courts serves as a critical instrument to de-escalate conflict and search for mutually beneficial solutions. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of interpersonal communication used by mediators during divorce mediation at the Sengeti Religious Court. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with certified mediators, mediation judges, and couples undergoing mediation; non-participant observation; and document analysis of divorce cases from 2023–2024. Data were examined using thematic analysis integrated with Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Findings reveal that mediators’ interpersonal communication—characterized by empathy, clarity, and participation—plays a pivotal role in mediation success, reflected in a 74.4% settlement rate. Communication strategies such as privacy management through caucus sessions and persuasive approaches based on empathy helped couples shift orientation from conflict toward shared benefits. These findings reinforce the relevance of Social Exchange Theory and Communication Privacy Management Theory in divorce mediation and provide a conceptual contribution to international literature by highlighting mediation practices within the framework of Islamic family law.

Abstract

General Background: Early childhood cognitive development requires concrete and engaging media to stimulate thinking and problem-solving skills. Specific Background: In many preschools, low-cost and recyclable materials have not been fully utilized to optimize children’s learning experiences. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies have specifically investigated the role of bottle cap media in supporting multiple aspects of cognitive development. Aim: This study explores how bottle cap media contributes to the improvement of cognitive abilities in children aged 5–6 years at TK Pertiwi IX Kota Jambi. Results: Using a qualitative descriptive approach with 15 children and 2 teachers, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings show that 80% of children demonstrated significant progress in recognizing colors (87%), grouping shapes (73%), counting objects (80%), and matching letters or numbers (67%). Novelty: The study highlights the innovative use of bottle caps as an accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable learning medium. Implications: The results suggest that recycled materials like bottle caps can effectively support early childhood education by enhancing cognitive skills while promoting creativity and environmental awareness. Highlights: Bottle caps foster color, shape, number, and symbol recognition. 80% of children showed overall cognitive improvement. Recycled media provides sustainable and engaging learning tools. Abstract

Bullying adalah tindakan agresi yang disengaja dan sadar yang berupaya menimbulkan kerugian, termasuk pelecehan verbal, penyerangan fisik, ejekan, dan bentuk -bentuk negatif lainnya yang menyebabkan kesusahan pada orang lain. Perilaku intimidasi yang berulang menargetkan kesejahteraan fisik dan mental korban. Membangun budaya komunikasi positif dapat mencegah terjadinya bullying dikalangan santri, dengan cara: berkomunikasi dengan santun dan empatik, membiasakan menyapa, mendengarkan, dan menghindari kata-kata kasar, dan membiasakan musyawarah untuk menyelesaikan masalah, komunikasi positif bertujuan untuk menjaga harga diri dan perasaan orang lain, menghindari konflik dan suasana yang tidak nyaman, membentuk budaya komunikasi dengan adab yang baik, dan memperkuat persaudaraan antar santri. Untuk menciptakan suasana yang harmonis dan nyaman, budaya komunikasi yang positif perlu di terapkan di lingkungan santri bahkan di lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) masih menjadi masalah besar di Indonesia, terutama bagi ibu rumah tangga yang sangat rentan. Banyak orang yang tidak tahu tentang hak-hak hukum mereka, cara-cara perlindungan, dan proses penyelesaian masalah yang membuat korban sulit untuk melaporkan kekerasan. Penyuluhan hukum ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bagaimana penyuluhan hukum dapat membantu ibu rumah tangga memahami lebih baik tentang KDRT. Metode yang digunakan termasuk kuliah, diskusi, serta memberikan contoh terkait KDRT, semua bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan lengkap tentang hak-hak korban, berbagai jenis perlindungan hukum sesuai UU No. 23 tahun 2004, dan opsi hukum untuk mendapatkan bantuan. Penyuluhan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta memahami lebih baik tentang KDRT, lebih berani melaporkan tindakan kekerasan, serta lebih tahu tentang lembaga yang bisa memberikan perlindungan dan dukungan hukum. Dengan demikian, penyuluhan hukum ini bukan hanya sebagai alat pendidikan tetapi juga cara untuk mengurangi KDRT dan meningkatkan posisi perempuan di rumah dengan pemahaman yang kuat tentang hukum.
