Abstract

The Qur'an, as the divine revelation to Prophet Muhammad, employs Arabic language, necessitating a deep understanding of Arabic linguistics, including semantics (ʿilm al-dalālah). This study explores the phenomenon of tadhadh (antonyms) in the Qur'an from a semantic perspective, aiming to identify and analyze antonymic word pairs and their implications in Qur'anic discourse. Using a qualitative approach with library research methods, the study examines Qur'anic verses, classical and modern linguistic sources, and scholarly works on Arabic semantics. The findings reveal five types of antonyms based on Al-Khammas’ classification: (1) absolute antonyms (taḍādd ḥādd), (2) graded antonyms (taḍādd mutadarrij), (3) converse antonyms (taḍādd ʿaks), (4) perpendicular antonyms (taḍādd ʿamūdī), and (5) straight-line antonyms (taḍādd imtidādī). Examples from various Qur'anic verses illustrate how these antonyms enhance rhetorical and theological depth. The study underscores the importance of semantic analysis in Qur'anic exegesis, contributing to broader linguistic and interpretive studies of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Arabic language learning as a local content subject at SDIT Anak Sholeh Praya. The analysis focuses on aspects of planning, execution, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as curriculum implementation evaluation. Theoretically, this research employs the perspective of Arabic language learning theory for children (Al-'Athiyah li al-Athfal) which emphasizes a contextual approach, combined with the flexibility principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews and document analysis, while data analysis utilized the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results reveal a paradox where curriculum flexibility actually becomes an additional burden for teachers due to lack of training and systemic support. The main challenges faced include limited teaching time and lack of an environment supporting Arabic language practice. Theoretically, this study provides a critical perspective on the importance of building an equitable support ecosystem in curriculum implementation. Practically, the research recommends developing inclusive mentoring models and equitable resource allocation for local content subjects. The study concludes that successful curriculum implementation requires comprehensive and thorough systemic support. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Educaplay platform as an innovative medium in learning Arabic conversation in the pesantren environment, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges, and impact on the learning motivation of students of the Madinatul Ulum Mumbang Islamic Boarding School. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews with three respondents and documentation. The data were analyzed following the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification). The results showed that Educaplay was successful in improving learning interactivity through the Dialogue Game feature, which facilitates self-paced conversation practice with instant feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and speaking fluency. The implementation of this platform reduced learning boredom and strengthened vocabulary mastery, although significant variation was found in learning outcomes between students (completion time: 2–9 minutes; errors: 5–47). The conclusion of the study confirms that Educaplay is effective as a complement to innovation methods in Islamic boarding schools, provided that there is teacher training and supporting infrastructure. These findings recommend the integration of game-based learning-based technology in the Arabic curriculum, while highlighting the need for pesantren policies to address the digital divide.
