Abstract

This research was motivated by the need to present a contextual and adaptive curriculum in remote areas, particularly for high schools in sub-district regions, by integrating vocational soft skills into learning based on the Merdeka Curriculum. The objective of this study was to design, implement, and validate an integrative curriculum based on vocational soft skills relevant to the needs of students and the professional world. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) framework. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, documentation studies, limited and extensive trials, as well as expert validation and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Data sources consisted of the principal, teachers, students, and partners from vocational high schools and the business/industrial world (DUDI). Data analysis was conducted through reduction, categorization, interpretation, and member check validation. The results showed that this integrative curriculum was able to enhance student activeness, independence, creativity, and responsibility through thematic learning, collaborative projects, and participatory evaluation. In conclusion, this curriculum model is not only feasible and applicable but also relevant for widespread implementation as a form of character-based learning innovation and work readiness in remote areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas implementasi coaching dalam pembelajaran dalam memperkuat Tujuh dimensi Belajar (P7) yang berorientasi lingkungan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh coaching terhadap kesadaran lingkungan dan penghayatan nilai-nilai P7 di kalangan siswa SMAN 2 Sandai dan SMK Matan Hilir Utara. Data dikumpulkan dari siswa dan guru bidang studi di beberapa sekolah menengah yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan coaching secara signifikan meningkatkan minat belajar, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman siswa. Sebanyak 80% siswa merasa pelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan isu lingkungan lebih relevan, dan 75% merasa lebih termotivasi belajar. Guru melaporkan efektivitas coaching dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan minat belajar, meskipun ada tantangan dalam penyesuaian waktu dan materi. Observasi kelas menunjukkan keterlibatan tinggi siswa dalam diskusi dan tugas terkait nilai-nilai P7 dan isu lingkungan. Proyek siswa menampilkan kreativitas dan inovasi dalam solusi lingkungan serta penerapan nilai-nilai P7. Refleksi siswa menunjukkan 90% mengalami perubahan positif dalam pandangan mereka tentang kegiatan pembelajaran dan mampu menerapkan nilai-nilai P7 dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara keseluruhan, integrasi coaching dalam pembelajaran memperkaya pengalaman belajar dan memperkuat karakter siswa sebagai warga yang bertanggung jawab dan peduli lingkungan.
