Abstract

Graph theory is applied to study network structures in various disciplines, such as computer science and discrete mathematics. The combination of graphs and algebra has become a widely discussed topic in research within the fields of algebra and combinatorics. Research on group representations on graphs and topological indices has been extensively conducted, one such example is on the identity graph. A identity graph of a group $G$ which is an ordered pair $V(G)$ and $E(G)$, where all elements of $G$ serve as vertices, and two vertices $x,y \in G$ are adjacent if and only if $x*y=e$. This study proposes an alternative approach to calculating topological indices in the identity graph of the multiplicative group of integers modulo n.

Abstract

In the field of molecular chemistry, graph theory is utilized to represent the structure of a molecule, where the set of nodes corresponds to its chemical elements and the set of edges represents the bonds within the chemical molecule. Graph theory, a mathematical discipline, finds application in various domains, one of which is group representation. This research will delve into the topic of the topological indices of the coprime graph of dihedral groups. The methodology employed involves reviewing several references related to dihedral groups, coprime graphs, and topological indices. This study yields results in the form of Harmonic index, Harary index, first Zagreb index, Gutman index, and Wiener index.

Abstract

Graph theory can give a representation of abstract mathematical systems such as groups or rings. We have many graph representations for a group, in this study we use the coprime graph representation for a generalized quaternion group to find the numerical invariants of the graph, which are the clique number and the chromatic number. The main results obtained from this study are the clique number of the coprime graph representation for the generalized quaternion group is equal to the chromatic number of the coprime graph representation for the generalized quaternion group for each case of  the order.

Abstract

Keputusan terbaru dari Kemendikbud Ristek yang menghapus persyaratan penulisan skripsi bagi mahasiswa merupakan sebuah terobosan penting dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Salah satu aspek utama dari kebijakan ini adalah penggantian skripsi dengan publikasi jurnal ilmiah. Sejalan dengan inisiatif ini, Program Studi Matematika Universitas Mataram telah menjalin kerja sama dengan Gamatika Research Club untuk mendistribusikan informasi terkait. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini melibatkan dua narasumber yang ahli di bidangnya. Narasumber pertama memberikan panduan lengkap mengenai prosedur dan pedoman untuk menggantikan skripsi dengan publikasi ilmiah, termasuk tahapan-tahapan yang harus diikuti oleh mahasiswa. Narasumber kedua memberikan tips, motivasi, dan wawasan mengenai pentingnya menerbitkan publikasi ilmiah bagi mahasiswa, serta menjelaskan manfaat dan peluang yang dapat diperoleh dari proses ini. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif kepada mahasiswa mengenai perubahan ini dalam tata cara penyelesaian studi tingkat sarjana di lingkungan perguruan tinggi.
