Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing difficulties in learning to write Javanese script in grade IV of SD Negeri Tambangan 02 in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study is a qualitative study using a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of grade IV of SD Negeri Tambangan 02. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed that students had difficulties in learning Javanese. The importance of learning Javanese in elementary schools is to improve good, polite, and noble communication skills in accordance with the values ​​contained in Javanese culture. Factors causing learning difficulties include environmental factors and learning environments. Efforts that have been made by schools to overcome difficulties in learning Javanese are to use several more innovative, interactive, and contextual learning methods. This study is expected to be a basis for increasing the effectiveness of Javanese language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning styles and learning discipline on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational approach. The research subjects consisted of 35 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires to measure learning styles and learning discipline, as well as documentation of mathematics learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS program, including prerequisite analysis and multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that learning style had a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes. Study discipline had a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes. Simultaneously, learning style and learning discipline had a significant effect on learning outcomes with a contribution of 86.5%. The conclusion of this study shows that an appropriate learning style and high learning discipline play an important role in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes.
