Abstract

In an era of globalization that is increasingly curbing local cultural diversity, this article raises the issue of the importance of developing a culture-based curriculum for elementary school level. This approach aims to align education with local identity, revive students' sense of pride and understanding of their cultural heritage, and promote cultural diversity in the teaching and learning process. In the midst of the challenges of globalization which has the impact of cultural homogenization, a culture-based curriculum is the only strong bulwark to defend and maintain the cultural roots of a nation. This article reviews the background, principles, benefits, and steps for implementing a culture-based curriculum for elementary schools, while also discussing challenges that may arise and solutions that can be implemented. In conclusion, education that reflects local identity through a culture-based curriculum is a leading step in preserving cultural heritage, supporting student development, and creating a more inclusive society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing difficulties in learning to write Javanese script in grade IV of SD Negeri Tambangan 02 in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study is a qualitative study using a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of grade IV of SD Negeri Tambangan 02. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed that students had difficulties in learning Javanese. The importance of learning Javanese in elementary schools is to improve good, polite, and noble communication skills in accordance with the values ​​contained in Javanese culture. Factors causing learning difficulties include environmental factors and learning environments. Efforts that have been made by schools to overcome difficulties in learning Javanese are to use several more innovative, interactive, and contextual learning methods. This study is expected to be a basis for increasing the effectiveness of Javanese language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila masih kurang interaktif menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN 02 Sumberejo melalui penerapan media kartu berpasangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui praktikum mengajar, dan dokumentasi. Media kartu berpasangan dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, sehingga siswa lebih aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi dan kegiatan belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan berperan aktif melalui penerapan media kartu berpasangan. Dengan demikian, media kartu berpasangan terbukti efektif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran dengan lebih baik.
