Abstract

This Community Service Program was carried out with a crucial objective: to enhance non-technical academic readiness, mastery of functional language, and adaptability among students—particularly final-year students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) at Dayah Terpadu Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon, North Aceh—in facing the transition to higher education and the increasingly complex world of work. Referring to the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation (Permendikbud) No. 23 of 2015 on the Cultivation of Character, the effort to foster character education as a collective movement involving the government and society, including higher education institutions, serves as the main foundation of this program. The activity was conducted at Dayah Terpadu Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon on September 13–14, 2025, involving 50 final-year Madrasah Aliyah students. The applied methodology adopted an experiential learning approach through interactive workshops, practical simulations, and comprehensive socialization sessions—distinct from traditional teaching methods. Program evaluation using a descriptive qualitative approach demonstrated a positive and significant impact, assessed through active participation observation, verbal response analysis, and the quality of essays produced. The findings revealed the students’ growing interest in the importance of pursuing higher education, their increasing awareness of personal interests and confidence in oral communication (particularly in English), as well as their awareness of managing personal finances digitally. This activity is expected to strengthen the culture of literacy and readiness of Dayah students in facing future challenges, including becoming university students. Abstract

This paper aims to describe the formulation of the Mandala of Indonesia’s foreign policy in the post Jokowi era. The main focus of this study is the recognition that both domestic and international political situations are constantly evolving. Moreover, differences in leadership styles lead to variations in the tactics and strategies adopted. This study employs secondary data as the basis of analysis through a literature review. The theoretical framework applied is the Mandala model of foreign policy. The findings indicate that the formulation of Indonesia’s foreign policy is influenced by domestic and international factors as well as leadership style and experience. In the post Jokowi era President Prabowo whose approach differs from that of his predecessors such as Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo has adopted distinct strategies and tactics. Prabowo is characterized by strategic tactical and hierarchical thinking. This style reshapes Indonesia’s Mandala model compared to previous administrations. Consequently internal and external challenges will require Prabowo to be both a smart leader in diplomacy and a smart leader in decision making. Given the ever changing dynamics innovation and adaptability will be essential.

Abstract

The present study aims to identify and analyse the rational factors considered by France in responding to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In response, France pursued a rational foreign policy, taking into account a number of factors, both national and personal. The present study employs a qualitative research method, adopting a case study approach. The present study employs secondary data and a process of literature review. The analysis of data is a process which encompasses two fundamental techniques: data sufficiency and testing processes. This study employs a comprehensive literature review to identify discrepancies and variations with previous research. The findings of this study demonstrate that the factors considered in French foreign policy are cognitive psychology and rational calculation. These two elements were analysed and became the primary considerations for France in formulating policies to support Ukraine over Russia. This was deduced from meticulous calculations in the disciplines of economics, politics and security. The calculations demonstrated that France's foreign policy was characterised by a high degree of rationality, underscoring the substantial ramifications of the decision to abstain from providing support to Ukraine. France has the prerogative to disregard specific non-compensatory factors, even if these factors ultimately prove advantageous to France. For instance, there are economic advantages to be gained, particularly in the context of collaboration with Russia. Consequently, this research will be of particular interest to scholars in the field of foreign policy.
