Abstract

Vasectomy is an alternative method of contraception for men who do not want to have children anymore by undergoing minor surgery to stop male reproductive capacity. The method of this research is quantitative analytical with cross sectional design, sample number of KK 50 samples, sampling using puporsive sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, univariate data analysis. The results showed that the knowledge was 100% did not know the social factors that influence the selection of contraception, 11 respondents (22.0%) did not know what advantage in choosing the method of vasectomy contraception, 18% do not know how many children are allowed to use vasectomy contraception and 16.0 % who do not know the age of husbands who may use vasectomy contraception, productive man attitude there are 36.0% hesitated that vasectomy contraception is a safe and effective birth control for couples of childbearing age, 44.0% hesitant to use vasectomy contraception did not affect subsequent sexual relations, 90.0%  hesitant to use vasectomy contraception is not against religion,  60,0% hesitate contraception vase ktomi may reduce the desire for sexual intercourse (libido), 56.0% doubt the use of vasectomy does not result in men become impotent (not male), and 56.0% hesitant men who became vasectomy acceptors can ejaculate (semen discharge).

Abstract

A healthy family is condition that is prosperous in terms of physical, mental, and social which then allows a whole family to be able to socially normal life. A family is said to be healthy if it can overcome existing problems or conflicts and maintain healthy relationships between family members. Families are said to be healthy if they meet the 12 indicators established by the Ministry of Health.Method To find out the description of 12 indicators of healthy families in the Work Area of the Pall X Community Health Center in Jambi City, this type of research is descriptive with a Cross Sectional approach. The population was all family heads in the Pall X Community Health Center in Jambi City, with a sample of 203 family heads. Data analysis was performed using a univariate test.Results: 87.4% did not attend the family planning program, 77.8% stated that at birth there were those in the hospital and those in the midwife's house, 90% who had complete basic immunizations, 60% had given breast milk, 89.7% had performed monitoring the growth of children under five, 100% as patients who do not regularly treat pulmonary TB, 95.5% of patients do not treat their hypertension regularly, 97.9% do not take medication regularly, 85.6 have family members who smoke, 76.2 % of all family members have become JKN members, 100% have access to clean water and use it for daily needs and 98% of other families have and use healthy latrines. Results, it is recommended that the Puskesmas improve information dissemination regarding 12 Indicators of Healthy Families by conducting counseling in the work area. Information can be improved by empowering sub-district health centers, health cadres and village midwives.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the most common diseases in society and is one of the groups of diseases that is always found in the practice of general practitioners. this disease attacks the joints and some only attack the tissues around the joints. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are differences in the treatment of ginger compresses and warm lemongrass compresses against the reduction in the intensity of Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain in the Elderly at Tresna Werdha Budi Luhur Social Home in Jambi. The research design used was Pre-Experiment using One Group Pre-Post Test Design. Research has been done at the Budi Luhur Werdha Home in Jambi (PSTW). The sampling method was by purposive sampling with a sample of 18 respondents with ginger compress intervention and 18 respondents with lemongrass intervention. Analysis data used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Dependent T-Test. The results were no differences in the intervention of ginger compresses and warm lemongrass compresses to the intensity of rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly in PSTW Jambi City. Both of them have a p-value of 0,000, meaning they both have a significant effect on decreasing the intensity of arthritis rheumatoid pain in the elderly in PSTW. It is recommended for health workers, it should be able to continue to motivate the elderly by providing education and demonstration, especially regarding the handling of pain in a non-pharmacological way through alternative and complementary techniques.

Abstract

The elderly population is currently increasing. Based on population projection data, it is estimated that in 2017 there are 23.66 million elderly people in Indonesia (9.03%). It is predicted that the number of elderly people in 2020 (27.08 million), 2025 (33.69 million), 2030 (40.95 million) and 2035 (48.19 million). Data obtained from cadres showed that the elderly had low awareness of joining the posyandu for the elderly. one cader said that the majority of the elderly rarely visit the posyandu for the elderly (only 40% are active). This research is a quantitative study with cross sectional design. The research was conducted at the elderly Posyandu in the Puskesmas Paal X Work Area with 36 respondents in December 2019-January 2020. Data were analyzed univariat and bivariat with the Chi Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support and the utilization of the elderly posyandu, there was no relationship between education and distance from the house with the use of the elderly posyandu in the elderly posyandu in the working area of Puskesmas Paal X, Jambi City.

Abstract

Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) explains obesity in adolescents aged 16-18 years with the (BMI/U) category of 4.0%, an increase from 2013 which was 1.6%. In West Kalimantan, the prevalence of obesity in adolescents aged 16-18 years increased from only 1.0% in 2013 to 3.4% in 2018. Meanwhile, the prevalence of obesity in adolescents aged 16-18 years in Pontianak city also increased from 2013, which was only 0. .5% to 1.75% in 2018. The teenagers are experiencing obesity because their lifestyles are much different, judging by their habit of consuming fast food on the grounds that they follow trends, are practical and taste better. The purpose of this study was to determine student behavior in obesity prevention. The type of research is a descriptive study that aims to determine obesity prevention behavior in STIKes Baiturrahim Jambi students. The research was conducted in February -March 2022. The sample used was 239 people using the proportional sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire, then analyzed univariat. The results showed that the behavior of respondents in the effort to prevent obesity was mostly good, 123 respondents (51.1%). Abstract

The most frequently encountered nutritional problem in adolescents is anemia. The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia in women aged 15-24 years is 84.6%. Adolescent girls are more vulnerable than adolescent boys. This is because the need for iron in teenage girls who are menstruating is three times greater than that of boys. The aim of this research is to describe the knowledge and behavior of adolescents in preventing anemia at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, Jambi City. This research is descriptive research conducted to determine the description of adolescent knowledge and behavior in preventing anemia. This research took place at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, Jambi City with a sample size of 94 young women. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Next, the data was analyzed using univariate analysis to get an idea of the frequency distribution of all the variables studied. The research results showed that the largest age distribution of respondents was 15 and 16 years old (34%), the highest class distribution of respondents was in class Anemia prevention behavior: The majority of respondents had poor behavior, 83 respondents (88.3%). It is recommended that schools improve facilities that support increasing knowledge about anemia among young women. This can be done by holding routine counseling every semester or checking hemoglobin (Hb) levels periodically

Abstract

Filariasis is a general term used for Lymphatic Filariasis (Filariasis), a parasitic disease caused by an infection of filarial worms. It is often referred to as 'elephantiasis' due to the swelling and thickening of the skin, which resembles an elephant's leg. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of filariasis sufferers. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. There are five participants in this study. Data analysis in this research uses the Collaizi approach. The results of the study reveal that, first, the initial experience of suffering from filariasis is shock, confusion, and feelings of uncertainty. Second, the experiences of filariasis sufferers while experiencing clinical symptoms include fever, pain, swelling, limitations in activities, and fatigue. Third, the emotional and psychological disturbances experienced by filariasis sufferers are feelings of shame, annoyance, and resignation. Fourth, the existence of socioeconomic burdens includes withdrawing from social interactions and economic difficulties. Fifth, the experiences of filariasis patients in accessing healthcare services are a persistent illness despite several treatments, unsatisfactory healthcare services, and hopes for better health. The research results expect that better healthcare services will include easier and more affordable access to treatment, as well as a holistic approach to treatment that not only focuses on physical aspects but also psychosocial aspects, enhancing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts.

Abstract

Obesity problem in Indonesia still occurs in all age groups and socio-economic strata. According to Basic Health Research, the prevalence of overweight and obesity in the age group >18 years has increased by 21.8%. The high prevalence of obesity is supported by the prevalence of physical activity in the Population Aged >10 years of only 33.5%. Adolescents who are overweight are at risk of becoming obese as adults. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity, fast food consumption habits, fruit and vegetable consumption and obesity in adolescents. This research method uses an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted at SMP N Kota Jambi. The sample in this study amounted to 57 people, the sampling technique was simple random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires and anthropometric examination tools (scales and microtoice) with measurements of body weight and height to obtain BMI values. The data were then analyzed univariately and bivariately with the C-Square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between physical activity habits, fruit and vegetable consumption with the incidence of obesity in adolescents and there was no relationship between fast food consumption and the incidence of obesity in adolescents. It is recommended that teenagers change their bad behavior related to food and nutrition into healthy, beneficial behavior and do more physical activity or exercise every day.
