Abstract

The Satriyeng Bencingah dance is a new dance creation that elevates the spirit of struggle carried out by Ida I Dewa Ayu Den Bencingah and his female troops using Belida weapons to fight the enemy who attacked the Bangli kingdom in 801 AD. Satriyeng means knight and hate is the name of Ida I Dewa Ayu Den Bencingah. Satriyeng Bencingah's dance creations were inspired by witnessing a sacred heirloom, namely Belida during the Panca Wali Krama ceremony in 2019 at the Kahen Bangli Temple. Belida is a weaving tool that functions as a unifier between one yarn and another.The process of creating a dance created by Satriyeng Bencingah uses the Alma M Hawkin creation method using three stages, namely exploration, improvisation, and forming. The process of creating this creative dance work uses the theory of imagination and aesthetic theory so that the work is able to convey the message desired by the stylist, namely that women are not weak, able to struggle and do not judge things from the outside.The presentation of the work of Satriyeng Bencingah dance is performed by 7 female dancers in a structured manner which is divided into flashback sections describing Belida being functioned as a loom, part one describes the majesty of Ida I Dewa Ayu Den Bencingah, part two describes inner turmoil and part three describes the spirit of struggle and victory with accompanied by Gamelan Gong Kebyar and gerong vocals.Keywords: Satriyeng Bencingah Creative Dance, Belida, Ida I Dewa Ayu Den Bencingah.

Abstract

The work of dance created by Raden Ayu Pemecutan is a dance pulled by seven princess dancers in the form of a new dance and raises the character of a delicate princess by highlighting the ges-the prayer moves that have been developed and reproduced. In raden ayu siti khotijah’s story, this misunderstanding is explained, because at the moment that Raden Ayu Siti Khotijah was carrying out his prayers and was seen by one instructor who thought Raden Ayu Siti Khotijah was practicing the black arts, and then one day he reported directly to king Kyai Anglurah Pemecutan III and ordered him to kill Raden Ayu Siti Khotijah.The application of Raden Ayu Pemecutan inventiveness of cane using concepts of agem, boiler, badminton, and tangle. With a princess’s subtle concept of dance developed and reinfused it into a movement-an innovative move as an identity to the work itself. The resulting musical accompaniment includes a musical accompaniment coupled with a tambourine instrument as well as with a red, white batik and green batik dress as the identity of the strip. It was created through the method of creation in the stages of exploration, improvisation and formation of the method of creation by Alma m. Hawkins. Abstract

Tari Bebotoh adalah karya tari kerakyatan yang mengambil tema kehidupan sosial yang terinspirasi dari karakter seorang pejudi sabung ayam, dengan karakter tegas dan selalu ingin kemenangan. Penata tertarik untuk mengangkat karakter bebotoh. Karya tari ini ditarikan oleh tujuh orang penari putra dengan postur tubuh yang tidak sama. Tujuan penciptaan karya tari ini adalah untuk mengingatkan semua orang agar tidak menjadi seorang bebotoh yang dikenal sebagai penjudi sabung ayam. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya ini menggunakan metode Alma M. Hawkins yang mencakup penjajagan, percobaan, pembentukan, karena metode tersebut lebih mudah penata pahami untuk digunakan sebagai metode dalam penciptaan karya seni. Karya tari ini menggunakan tata rias wajah dan busana berupa celana hitam, baju hitam, kamen prada, sabuk pinggang, udeng prada yang ditata sesederhana mungkin. Diharapkan karya tari ini menjadi sebuah karya seni pertunjukan yang dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat dari semua golongan dan mampu memberikan pesan di dalam sebuah perjudian itu tidak baik.   Kata kunci : Bebotoh, kerakyatan, karya tari, tradisi
