Abstract

The implementation of Islamic values in the professional ethics of secretarial work in Islamic educational institutions is a crucial aspect in establishing a professional work environment based on Islamic morality. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic values in professional ethics, its implementation in secretarial work within Islamic educational institutions, the challenges encountered, as well as the solutions and strategies for its reinforcement. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a literature review as the primary source. The findings indicate that Islamic values, such as honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, discipline, and professionalism, serve as the fundamental principles of professional ethics in secretarial work. The implementation of these values is evident in administrative, communication, and service aspects, all of which adhere to Sharia principles. However, several challenges exist in its application, including a lack of understanding of Islamic ethical concepts, the influence of modernization, and weak supervision systems. Therefore, effective strategies are needed, such as specialized training, a Sharia-based management system, and regulatory reinforcement, to strengthen the application of professional ethics based on Islamic values. With optimal implementation, the secretarial profession in Islamic educational institutions can operate professionally, with integrity, and contribute positively to the development of Islamic education.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises play a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and enhancing community welfare, yet many actors continue to encounter constraints related to limited entrepreneurial knowledge, inadequate managerial competencies, and low levels of business innovation. This study examines how Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise actors perceive the effectiveness of entrepreneurship training programs in strengthening business capacity, while also identifying the factors shaping these perceptions and proposing strategies to improve program outcomes. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving participants of entrepreneurship training programs in Tenam Village, Muara Bulian District, Batang Hari Regency. The findings reveal that participants generally express positive perceptions, particularly regarding improvements in business management knowledge, business planning skills, and foundational understanding of financial management and Islamic economic principles. Perceptions are influenced by the relevance of training materials, instructional methods, prior participant experience, and the duration of training. The study argues that enhancing the alignment between training content and business needs, extending training duration and intensity, and ensuring sustained post-training assistance are critical to optimizing the effectiveness of entrepreneurship training programs in strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise capacity.

Abstract

This community service activity took the form of a seminar entitled sharia economics and law: harmonizing principles and practices, with the aim of increasing public and academic understanding of the relationship between Sharia economic principles and positive legal aspects in Indonesia. This activity was motivated by the limited public literacy regarding the implementation of Sharia economics in accordance with legal regulations. The implementation method included lectures, interactive discussions, and a question-and-answer session. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the basic concepts of Sharia economics, its legal basis, and the challenges of harmonizing Sharia principles and practices in the field. This activity is expected to strengthen legal awareness and encourage the just and sustainable implementation of Sharia economics.
