Abstract

Vaccination against COVID-19 is a global government program with the goals of reducing the spread of the virus, lowering the number of cases of COVID-19-related illnesses and deaths, and ultimately protecting communities from the disease so that they can continue to thrive socially and economically. A person's level of support from their family is one of the numerous aspects that affects their willingness to get a vaccine. In the island region of Indonesia, this study set out to examine the relationship between family support and the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine. The study in question is a correlational one. From February to July of 2022, researchers scoured Sangihe and Talaud Islands. Three hundred and fifty-nine adults (aged 18 and up) participated in the study. Support from family members and willingness to get a vaccine were the factors examined in this research. Specifically, a questionnaire is utilized. The chi-square test was used for bivariate data analysis. Respondents with strong family support are more likely to have accepted the COVID-19 vaccine in its entirety (88.7%), while those with weaker family support are more likely to have received the vaccine in its entirety (79.4%). A significant correlation between family support and acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine was found, according to the results of the chi-squared test, with a significance level of 0.025 (< 0.05). It follows that having the support of one's family is a correlating factor to the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine

Abstract

Vaccination stands as the sole preventive measure against the transmission of COVID-19. The vaccination rollout in Indonesia comprises three stages: primary vaccinations 1 and 2, along with an additional 3rd or booster vaccination. However, certain regions still exhibit a stage 2 vaccination coverage below 70%. Various factors, including age and gender, impact the acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccine. The objective of this study was to scrutinize the association between age, gender, and the acceptance of Covid-19 vaccination in the jurisdiction of the Kawangkoan Barat Public Health Center. Conducted between February and July 2022, this correlational research involved 400 respondents aged 18 and above. The study variables encompassed age, gender, and vaccination acceptance, assessed through a fill-in sheet. Bivariate data analysis employed the chi-square test, revealing a significant correlation between age and vaccination acceptance. The prevalence ratio (PR) of 1.504 indicated that individuals aged 18-59 years were 1.504 times more likely to have incomplete vaccinations. However, gender did not exhibit a significant correlation with vaccination acceptance. In conclusion, age emerges as a correlated factor influencing the acceptance of Covid-19 vaccination

Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) is caused by multifactorial such as age, gender, blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid profiles. This study aims to analyze the description of risk factors for CHD at the North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This is a descriptive research conducted at the Cardio Vascular and Brain Center Cardiology Polyclinic, General Hospital Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado in December 2021 to January 2022. The respondents of this study were CHD patients, totaling 100 people. The variables in this study were age, gender, blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid profiles. The data was obtained from the patient's medical record data. Data analysis performed univariately. The results showed that the respondents are most distributed in the age group ≥40 years as many as 99 people (99%), and male sex as many as 73 people (73%). Respondents who do not suffer from hypertension are 56 people (56%) more than those who suffer from hypertension, namely 44 people (44%). Respondents with GDP >126 mg/dL were 57 people (57%) more than those with GDP < the same as 126 mg/dL, namely 43 people (43%). Respondents whose total cholesterol level was < equal to 240 mg/dL were more than 60 people (60%) compared to patients with cholesterol levels > 240 mg/dL which were 40 people (40%). It can be concluded that the risk factors for CHD at the North Sulawesi, Indonesia was ≥40 years old, male, more patients with blood pressure <140/90 mmHg, more patients with GDP >126 mg/dL and more patient with total cholesterol level <240 mg/dL
