The findings indicate that P5 is running well at the sample schools by looking at several indicators, such as the policy, program, and implementation of P5. Based on the data, the schools accepted and implemented P5 to swamped character decadence in the period of disruption well, allowing it to be socialized and applied as needed. However, every school has successfully utilized P5 techniques to overthrow character decadence in the disruptive era. Despite the challenges and limitations associated with its implementation, the principal has the ability to mitigate these issues. The principal and educators hope the school can best apply P5 to combating character decadence in the disruptive period, making it more advantageous for the larger community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of loanwords in sports news in the online newspaper Rakyat Bengkulu. The research uses a qualitative approach, focusing on exploring processes, events, and developments in language use. Data were collected from Rakyat Bengkulu online during June, July, and August 2022. The study finds that loanwords in the sports news are primarily derived from English. For example, the word "sportivitas" (sportiveness) is a loanword from the English "sportivity," which has been adapted into Indonesian. Loanword adaptations in the sports news include both direct borrowing without changes in form or meaning, such as the word "Event," which is borrowed directly from English, meaning "occurrence," "event," or "occasion." Additionally, there are adaptations of foreign words with modifications to fit the recipient language, as seen in the use of "E-Sport," which has become a global phenomenon with numerous online and offline tournaments and competitions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the weaknesses of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 79 Bengkulu City in writing narrative compositions and to identify the contributing factors. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal three main areas of weakness: content, language, and technical aspects. In terms of content, students’ narratives often lack coherent plots, underdeveloped ideas, and unclear beginnings, middles, and endings. From the language aspect, students show limited vocabulary, frequent errors in spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. Technically, weaknesses are found in paragraph organization and ineffective sentence structures. These difficulties stem from internal factors, such as low motivation, limited vocabulary, and poor idea organization, as well as external factors, including monotonous teaching methods, insufficient teacher guidance, lack of family support, and the influence of environment and social media. The study highlights the need for varied teaching strategies, stronger collaboration between teachers and parents, and consistent literacy practices to improve students’ narrative writing skills.
