Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires proper management, including the use of conventional and alternative medicines such as herbal medicines. Patient knowledge about the benefits, risks, and potential interactions of herbal medicines with conventional medicines is very important to prevent complications. Objective This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of diabetes patients about the use of herbal medicines, including the benefits, risks, and interactions with conventional medicines at the Kebondalem Health Center, Pemalang Regency. This study uses descriptive observational analytic Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to diabetes patients who were treated at the Kebondalem Health Center. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively with percentages to measure the level of patient knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing students’ learning motivation at SD Negeri 050642 Donosari, Salapian District, Langkat Regency. Learning motivation is a crucial aspect of the educational process as it functions as the main driving force that directs and sustains students’ engagement in learning activities. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observations and interviews involving students, teachers, and the school principal as research subjects. The findings reveal that students’ learning motivation is influenced by two main factors: internal and external factors. Internal factors include learning interest, talents and abilities, physical and psychological conditions, as well as self-confidence or self-efficacy. Meanwhile, external factors consist of family support and involvement, the role of teachers in creating engaging learning environments, peer influence, and students’ aspirations or future goals. The study also indicates that low learning motivation among some students is reflected in their lack of participation, low reading interest, and delays in completing assignments. Therefore, a collaborative effort among teachers, parents, and the school is essential to create a conducive, innovative, and enjoyable learning environment to enhance students’ learning motivation effectively.
