Abstract

The transition to digital approaches in church ministry has become imperative due to the swift advancement of information technology. This community engagement initiative was designed to strengthen the digital skills of HKBP ministry personnel in District XII Tanah Alas through structured training and intensive guidance. The program was executed through interactive presentations, focus group discussions (FGD), practical simulations involving digital tools, and evaluations conducted before and after the activities. Findings revealed that participants’ baseline digital capabilities were generally at a low to moderate level, yet experienced notable improvement following the intervention. Church staff began to exhibit proficiency in embedding digital technologies into everyday ministry, including using Zoom for virtual worship, leveraging social media for church-related communication, and employing applications for managing congregation data. The participants’ active involvement demonstrated their eagerness for a ministry model that is both adaptive and contextually grounded. This initiative further emphasized the long-term promise of digitalization in addressing geographical barriers and broadening the scope of church outreach. Sustained progress requires ongoing training and institutional backing to maintain relevance and coherence throughout the transformation journey. In conclusion, this initiative marks a foundational step for HKBP in cultivating a digitally-driven ministry ecosystem anchored in theological principles and cultural heritage.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the perceptions of class XI students of METHODIST 7 MEDAN SMA before and after using the think pair share learning model, and to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on class XI students' perceptions of the concept of democracy. In this study, researchers used quantitative research methods, namely research methods that involve testing the relationship between variables measured by research instruments so that numerical data can be analyzed based on statistical procedures. Based on research data and data analysis, it can be concluded that the think pair share learning model can increase the influence of students' perceptions of democracy and can be proven by the results of descriptive pre-test (before) and post-test (after) treatment obtained an average of 79.87 and 90.28. The results of the normality test The sig value in the pre-test is 0.231> sig value 0.05 (5%) meaning H0 is accepted and the sig value in the post-test is 0.006> sig value 0.05 (5%) meaning H0 is accepted, it can be concluded that the pre-test data is normally distributed and the post-test data is normally distributed. Based on the comparative hypothesis test of the pairad sample test output above, the sig value is 0.000> sig value 0.05 (5%) which means H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. so it can be concluded overall that there is an influence on student perception before and after the use of the think pair share learning model
