Abstract

This study aims to understand the Islamic perspective on workforce (employee) selection. This research uses a literature study approach (library research). Data collection was conducted through academic databases such as Google Scholar and Garuda using the keywords: “workforce selection,” “employee recruitment,” “Islamic education,” “Islamic HR management,” and “Islamic human resource management.” Purposive sampling technique was used to directly select literature that is relevant to the study focus. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques. The analysis results indicate that from the perspective of Islamic teachings, the approach to recruitment and selection emphasizes values such as professional competence, relevant experience, honesty, piety, and noble character, as outlined in the Qur'an and the Prophet's hadiths. The implementation of this process must be conducted with full transparency, objectivity, and free from any form of favoritism or nepotism, in order to produce educators who are not only experts in their fields but also possess high integrity. Furthermore, this article explains that the use of systematic selection criteria, the application of advanced technology, and active participation from various relevant parties are strategic steps to ensure that the recruited educators truly meet the institution's needs

Abstract

Digital transformation requires educational institutions to develop adaptive, effective, and technology-oriented management systems. This study aims to analyse the implementation of strategic management in improving the quality of educational institutions in the era of digital transformation through a literature review. The data sources were books, scientific articles, and research publications relevant to digital education management. The results of the study show that strategic management plays an important role in aligning vision, goals, and operational actions based on data and technology. Its implementation is reflected in the development of digital education programmes, performance-based budget management, the formulation of standard operating procedures, and the strengthening of organisational structures and management information systems. The application of these strategies contributes to improving the quality of learning, governance effectiveness, institutional innovation, and educational competitiveness. However, implementation still faces challenges such as limited resources, resistance to change, and technological literacy gaps. Recommended efforts include strengthening visionary leadership, improving digital competencies, investing in technological infrastructure, and conducting continuous evaluation. This study emphasises that the integration of strategic management and digital transformation is an important foundation for creating excellent and competitive educational institutions in the 21st century.

Abstract

Perencanaan pendidikan merupakan proses fundamental dalam memastikan keberlanjutan, efektivitas, dan mutu layanan pendidikan di berbagai jenjang. Paper ini mengkaji hubungan antara perencanaan strategis dan perencanaan operasional serta implikasinya terhadap peningkatan kinerja dan daya saing lembaga pendidikan. Perencanaan strategis mencakup penetapan visi, misi, tujuan jangka panjang, serta analisis faktor internal dan eksternal menggunakan metode SWOT dan PESTEL. Analisis ini membantu lembaga mengenali kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang memengaruhi arah pengembangan pendidikan serta memberikan dasar bagi pengambilan keputusan strategis. Di sisi lain, perencanaan operasional menekankan penerjemahan strategi ke dalam program kerja, kegiatan pendidikan, pengelolaan sumber daya, dan monitoring capaian melalui indikator kinerja (Key Performance Indicators/KPI). Integrasi antara aspek strategis dan operasional menjadi kunci keberhasilan manajemen pendidikan, di mana visi dan tujuan jangka panjang dijalankan melalui tindakan konkret yang terukur. Tabel model integrasi strategis-operasional menunjukkan bagaimana komponen visi, tujuan, analisis lingkungan, strategi implementasi, dan evaluasi strategis dapat diselaraskan dengan program kerja tahunan, proyek pendidikan, penyesuaian terhadap kondisi lingkungan, RKAS, serta monitoring hasil. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa lembaga pendidikan yang mampu mengintegrasikan perencanaan strategis dan operasional, serta menerapkan evaluasi berkelanjutan, akan lebih adaptif terhadap perubahan lingkungan, inovatif dalam implementasi program, dan kompetitif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pemangku kepentingan, penggunaan data berbasis bukti, dan indikator kinerja yang jelas sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan strategis dan operasional. Dengan demikian, integrasi perencanaan strategis dan operasional menjadi fondasi utama untuk menciptakan pendidikan yang berkualitas, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.
