Abstract

This research aims to understand the dynamics of changes in global power in the geopolitical context of the 21st century. Through a qualitative approach, this research uses case study methodology and cross-country analysis to collect and analyze secondary data from related literature, policy analysis, as well as interviews with geopolitical experts and related stakeholders. The results of this research highlight the shift in political and economic dominance to Asia in the 21st century. The economic revival of countries such as China, South Korea, India and Indonesia confirms that Asia is increasingly becoming the center of attention in global dynamics. The confrontation between the United States and China reflects tensions in efforts to maintain and achieve supremacy at the international level. The formation of the Quad alliance, as a response to China's influence in the Indo-Pacific Region, shows the United States' strategy in managing regional dynamics. The transformation of the roles of the United States and Europe indicates that world power is increasingly dispersed.

Abstract

The Belt and Road Initiative/BRI as an ambitious infrastructure development initiative which is a continuation of the Silk Road program, has played a central role in restructuring the economic and political landscape in a number of countries in Asia. This research aims to investigate the geopolitical implications that the People's Republic of China's BRI has in the Asian region. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has had a major impact on Asian geopolitics. This initiative increases China's economic and political influence in the region, strengthens connectivity between countries, and opens new trade routes. Although it brings economic opportunities, the BRI also poses a number of challenges, including financial risks, political risks and socio-environmental impacts. BRI's success is not only measured by economic growth, but also by its impact on regional stability and sustainability. Therefore, continuous attention is needed to ensure that the implementation of the BRI is in line with the principles of justice, transparency and sustainability, so that it can provide long-term benefits for the entire Asian region.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly complex geopolitical dynamics, a deep understanding of a country's geopolitical position is crucial. This research aims to investigate Indonesia's role in the context of a geopolitical map that continues to change and develop. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show Indonesia's crucial role in global geopolitical dynamics, especially facing changes in the "new geopolitical dynamic map." Indonesia, as the largest archipelagic country, carries responsibility as a guardian of regional stability and a contributor to the global order. Maritime disputes, great power competition and global challenges require wise responses, with Indonesia faced with the complex task of maintaining a balance between national interests and global responsibilities. Adaptation capacity is needed through the development of strong diplomacy, cohesive foreign policy and responsive strategies. Indonesia, with its potential as a balancing force, can make a positive contribution to peace and development at the global level, but this challenge requires active involvement and a firm stance from Indonesia in facing the ever-developing geopolitical dynamics.

Abstract

In the context of globalization and rapid geopolitical changes, Indonesia as an archipelagic country with a strategic position has an increasingly important role in facing challenges and opportunities at the international level. This research aims to analyze and identify Indonesia's geopolitical response to the dynamics currently occurring in the world. The research method is descriptive qualitative, including literature analysis, secondary data, and interviews with geopolitical and diplomatic experts. By focusing on changes in dynamics that are occurring, such as the increasingly heated rivalry war between the United States and China, the Russia-Ukraine war, this research will explore the Indonesian government's strategy in dealing with these dynamics. The research results highlight that the volatile global political situation has had a significant impact on Indonesia's foreign policy. The link between global dynamics and Indonesia's national interests requires a careful approach. In conclusion, Indonesia needs to maintain a balance between national interests and participation in international cooperation, utilize strategic forums such as the G-20 to support national development, prioritize regional cooperation through ASEAN, optimize the potential of energy resources as a comparative advantage, and create political stability and security domestically as the main basis for facing the complexity of global geopolitical dynamics.

Abstract Widespread gender inequality around the world has reinforced the urgency of Gender Equality as a global priority, as stipulated in SDGs point 5. Generation Z (Gen-Z) plays a key role in understanding and experiencing the impact of these phenomena, including digital sexual harassment and widespread narratives of gender injustice on social media. Education on Gender Justice Literacy is crucial to empower Gen-Z to respond to these issues. In response, the FISIP UNPAS PkM Team has started socialization activities at SMAN Kota 17 Bandung, involving social volunteers experienced in gender issues. Abstract

The South China Sea, as one of the main trade routes and a maritime region rich in natural resources, has become the main stage for countries in the Asia Pacific region to compete for political, economic and military influence. This research discusses the phenomenon of power struggles that occur in the South China Sea, the main focus is on geopolitical competition in this strategic region. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that competition in the South China Sea involves a complexity of geopolitical, geoeconomic and national interest factors. This region, rich in natural resources, especially oil and gas, is a source of tension between coastal states and external actors. China, as the dominant power in the region, shows high interest in the Nine-Dash Line territorial claims, raising concerns from ASEAN countries and the United States. The complexity of national identities and competition for natural resources creates power imbalances and conflict in the South China Sea. Solutions to overcome these challenges require multilateral cooperation and diplomacy involving all relevant parties, with the aim of achieving peace, security and balance of interests in the region.

Abstract

The geopolitical shift from Europe to the Asia Pacific region has made this region a hot area recently. Even though there is a race to increase maritime power, it is not yet considered an arms race. This research examines the major role and challenges of geopolitics on the Asia-Pacific Stage, a region that has a significant impact on global dynamics. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that the Asia-Pacific Stage is a complex stage with various geopolitical challenges. Territorial disputes, competition between major powers such as China, the United States and Russia, and the threat of terrorism create tensions that affect stability. The existence of nuclear weapons and the potential for proliferation increases the risk of serious conflict. Humanitarian crises, both due to conflict and the impact of climate change, add complexity to the increasing number of refugees. In this context, regional organizations such as ASEAN are emerging as key players in managing tensions. Overcoming these challenges requires joint efforts, careful diplomacy and international cooperation to maintain peace, security and sustainable development in the region.
